I might be wrong in saying so, but fall is the best season. The leaves change and serve as a metaphor for life and all the constant transformations we’re going through. There’s also crispness to the air, and we get to rock cozy sweaters and drink all of our favorite hot drinks. Scary movies are always playing in the background; I mean, don’t forget some of our seasonal favorites, such as Hocus Pocus! With that, we have a couple of nail colors that you can rock while doing all of your favorite fall activities.
1. Wine
I love a pretty wine color. It can go with many different shades reflected in your outfits while matching the fall vibe without being too flashy. For example, this OPI color is gorgeous and long lasting.
2. Burnt Orange
Like that pretty color the tips of the leaves are right during the peak of fall. This color from Ella + Mila truly captures that essence. This would be pretty as a solo shade or one you use in a variety of colors for a rockin’ mani.
3. Black
You can’t go wrong with some black nails. There are plenty of ways to go about doing. For example, you can choose shimmery matte look or go with a cute skull or ghost design. It’ll be spooky how many compliments you’ll get. (See what we did here?)
4. Dark Green
I never used to be a fan of darker nail colors, but I feel there a ton more opportunities now than there used to be. A darker army green is perfect for fall, and like the others mentioned above, it can be dressed up with some gold nail art. It also perfectly compliments many different outfits.
5. Copper
A copper polish can give off a great shiny look, and it won’t be something you’ll tire of easily. Don this mani with solid or patterned clothes — it will look flawless either way.
6. Dark Turquoise
Maybe I’ve been under a rock the past few years (wouldn’t surprise me!), but I’ve been seeing a lot of this dark turquoise color in a lot of Halloween and fall decor. And Ithink the way it accents all of the other fall shades is magnificent. When I saw this nail color, I immediately wanted to go get my nails done using this shade!
7. Magenta
I can’t be the only one who, as a child, envisioned a witch rocking this sort of color on their nails. Like them, it’s bold, draws attention, and adds a little flair where it’s needed. I expect to see a lot of that this fall.

Aside from solid colors, fall can be a great time to rock some nail art. Remember that even a small little detail can add a whole lot of flair while still keeping your mani appropriate for the office. Here are a few of our favorites:
- Leaves
- Tiny pumpkin on one finger
- Ghost
- Skeleton
- French Manicure but with gold or orange tips instead of white
- Spiderweb
- Glitter accent on one nail
- An assortment of fall colors
- Marble accent using black
If you want to try something adventurous with your nails but are unsure, try Pinterest as it always inspires me. You can also ask your local nail tech and tell them the style you’re going for, and they can help. Lastly, your local beauty workers at makeup stores can offer some nice insight.
