Why You Need To Jump On The Paddleboard Yoga Trend

For those who don’t know, paddleboard yoga is a type of yoga done while paddle-surfing. But don’t worry! There aren’t any giant waves that come through since paddleboard yoga is normally done on calmer waters, such as calm ocean waters or a lake. It may sound scary, but if you know how to swim, it’s an incredible experience!

While standing on the paddleboard, or a full-length surfboard, you’ll do the yoga poses.

It may start on the sand or a swimming pool until you get the hang of it. Then, you will be able to proceed to the ocean or lake water.

For those that have tried it, yoga is an easy way to get a workout. It’s considered to be low impact and not such a big deal. But once you actually start going through the motions, it’s much more straining than one might anticipate. There are stages of poses, of course, for beginners, more experienced, and the experts. Given that, there’s no reason to be afraid to give yoga itself a try.

Then, for the water lovers, it’s a more intense, relaxing experience to try doing yoga out on the water. Personally, though, I would recommend getting some of those yoga poses down on land before trying them out on a surfboard (there are also specialized paddleboards).

While practicing, you will likely end up wet, and of course, there’s always the chance you’ll fall into the water. However, there’s nothing scary about it. If you can stand on one foot, you can paddleboard. And if you can breathe, you can do yoga. Keep that in mind while considering trying out Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga.

Nevertheless, some of us aren’t blessed with great balance, and that’s okay, too.

SUP Yoga isn’t for everyone, but it could be a great option for those that are looking for something new and unique to try out. Moreover, there are many different ways to do yoga, such as general yoga, hot yoga, etc. But overall, if you’re willing to try it, SUP Yoga could be a great experience. Even if it’s not for you, there’s always an option to go swimming after you’ve lost your balance on the board.

Just as with every new trend, SUP Yoga has recently been featured on Today, ABC News, and it’s becoming a growing trend.

What do you say? Would you give it a try?
