Spring is finally here, which means warmer weather, fresh air, and the perfect excuse to get outside. If you’re looking for easy, low-effort ways to move your body while soaking up the sunshine, these “lazy girl” exercises are for you. They’re simple, effective, and won’t leave you exhausted—sometimes, we just want to move a little without committing to an intense workout.
1. Park Bench Leg Lifts
Find a bench and sit up straight with your feet flat on the ground. Slowly lift one leg at a time, engaging your core as you do so. Alternate your legs for a few minutes while you enjoy your surroundings. This is an easy way to sneak in some lower-body ab work without breaking a sweat.
2. Swing Set Core Work
Who says swings are just for kids? Sit on a swing, lean back slightly, and use your core to pull yourself forward and back in a controlled motion. It’s an effortless ab workout and a fun way to relive childhood memories.
3. Tree Pose Balance Hold
Channel your inner yogi by standing on one leg and placing the other foot against your inner thigh or calf. Hold your balance while taking deep breaths and enjoying the spring breeze. Not only does this work your core and legs, but it’s also super calming.
4. Stair Stepping
If you come across a short set of stairs at a park or near a walking trail, take a few minutes to step up and down at a relaxed pace. It’s an easy way to get your blood flowing without overexerting yourself. Bonus: You can pause at the top and take in the view.
5. Seated Stretch & Reach
Find a bench or a soft patch of grass and sit with your legs stretched out in front of you. Reach forward toward your toes and hold the stretch. This simple move improves flexibility and feels amazing in the fresh air.
6. Lazy Lunges
Take a few slow, controlled lunges while walking in a park or your backyard. Unlike regular lunges, there’s no pressure to go fast—just step forward, lower into a comfortable lunge, and enjoy the movement.
7. Shoulder Rolls & Neck Stretches
While standing or sitting outside, roll your shoulders forward and backward a few times, then tilt your head from side to side to release any tension. This is a great way to sneak in some movement while reading a book or sipping on an iced coffee.
8. Gentle Arm Circles
Standing with your arms out to the sides, make small circles in the air. Start with forward circles, then switch to backward. This simple move helps loosen your shoulders and arms without requiring much effort.
9. Toe Taps on a Curb
Find a curb or a low step and gently tap one foot at a time on it. Think of it like a mini step workout, but done at a chill pace. It’s a low-impact way to wake up your legs without tiring yourself out.
10. Hot Girl Walk
Of course, we couldn’t forget the ultimate lazy-girl-approved outdoor exercise—a “hot girl walk.” Just put on your favorite playlist, grab a cute water bottle, and stroll through a park, neighborhood, or nature trail at your own pace. There’s no pressure to speed-walk or hit a certain distance. Just enjoy moving your body while feeling confident, refreshed, and hot.
Try these simple, feel-good exercises if you’re looking for easy ways to be active this spring without going full gym mode. Movement doesn’t have to be complicated—sometimes, all it takes is stepping outside and embracing the fresh air.

I definitely wouldn’t call someone lazy who does such exercises, and the exercises themselves aren’t lazy either. Actually, by doing just one simple exercise, you’re already doing way more than if you just kept lying on the couch. I started with small warm-ups, but definitely every day. Now I already have a full workout plan from madmuscles madmuscles.com/review, but I’m sure that if I hadn’t started simple back then, I probably wouldn’t have gotten to my current level .
