9 Tips To Make Your Summer Fashion Dreams Come True

summer-fashion

With summer just around the corner, you may be looking at your wardrobe and coming to the realization that it’s getting time to switch out your clothes. Away go the winter coats and thick sweaters, and out come the sundresses and skirts! But almost every year, without fail, we all want to freshen up our summer closets and get some new bits and pieces in celebration of the season when you’re more outdoors than ever before!

If you’re not quite sure about what’s trendy this year, or you’ve never really created a summer wardrobe on your own, then we’re here to convince you why summer is actually one of the best seasons to dress for! You don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style either. If anything, this is one of the most accessible times of year to be both comfortable and stylish! So if you don’t want to ditch your Converse shoes, then not to worry! There are plenty of style options for you to incorporate clothes and shoes but still make it work for summer!

1. Comfort and Style

If you’re someone who avoids clothes that are stocked explicitly in the ‘summer’ section of a store because you’re worried about having to sacrifice your level of comfort, then worry not! Much of summer is actually about ease and spending as little time as possible picking out your outfits! Your clothes are the last thing you want to worry about, especially with the heat, so flowy outfits and wearing as few layers as possible are the key!

2. Pops of Color

If you’ve been waiting all year long and wondering when the best time is to show off your impressive sock collection, there is no better time than the summer months! Even if your outfit is on the simpler and more neutral side, a bright-colored pair of socks can really pull your whole ensemble together and make it seem as though you’ve put a lot more effort into your overall look than you actually have!

3. Don’t Ditch the Sneakers

Yes, sandals are all the rage, but there’s absolutely no reason for you to have to ditch your precious Converse shoes! Sneakers will serve you a lot better for those especially long days out, and you won’t tire yourself out after an hour or two. If you’re looking for options, then switching out black sneakers to a pair of white ones is more than enough for them to qualify as being summer appropriate!

4. Wear Sunglasses Whenever

Once again, thanks to the summer months, sunglasses will be back in full force. And with everyone wearing them, you’ll blend right in, and you can totally avoid having to make awkward eye contact with the person sitting opposite you on the train… And that’s not limited to just the outdoors! No one will bat an eyelid if you also keep them on indoors, so you really can’t go wrong.

5. Cottagecore Vibes

If loud colors and prints are really just not your thing, you don’t have to cancel summer! There are still plenty of options for you, and one of the best ones is the rise of all things floral. Floral print dresses in neutral/lighter colors are a big hit without drawing too much attention to yourself (if you’re looking to avoid that). Team that up with a pair of sneakers and a lovely handbag, and you’re good to go!

6. Totes are Your Best Friend

This is the time of year when everyone loves to pull out their floral or bright handbags that would just look weird at any other time of year, but large oversized totes are also a great accessory to have! Throw in everything from your water bottle, shades, extra pair of sandals, and most importantly, your SPF, and still have room for so much more!

7. Ditch the Jeans

We know it’s tempting to stick to the jeans because they go well with any half-sleeved shirt, so it takes minimal time and effort… but you’ll thank us later for telling you to avoid the tight-fitting and stiff fabric of jeans in scorching temperatures. Breathable fabrics are your best bet, and even if dresses aren’t your thing, athleisure wear is perfectly acceptable! Not only is it comfortable and breathable, but it also just makes you look really cool, as though you always have someplace to be.

8. Maxi Skirts

Short dresses and skirts are always a cute look, but if that’s something you’re not comfortable with, then there’s no reason why you can’t opt for a maxi skirt! They’re long but still just as breathable and just give you that extra bit of coverage. They can also be dressed up or down with something even as simple as a white shirt, so there’s really no wrong way to style them!

9. Minimal Jewelry

As clothing layers take a back seat for the season, so will layers of jewelry. So if you have wanted to start experimenting with jewelry and it’s not something you usually wear, then this is the perfect time to do so! A simple pair of hoop earrings and just one ring is more than enough to pull your outfit together and again gives it the overall appearance of putting a lot of effort into the whole look! Hopefully, this will let you practice and get used to wearing more accessories that you can start layering up as the seasons change again.

  1. You know, I’ve always been a person who really likes to wear good clothes. By the way, I recently decided to change some of my looks, and my friend advised me to buy vegan wallets. After that, my life was divided between before and after. In general, it’s really cool to buy such a thing.
