7 Spooky Starbucks Drinks That Are Perfect For October

Spooky season is officially back! With all the chaos this year has brought us, there’s no better way to unwind and celebrate than with a new drink from Starbucks. This Halloween, Starbucks die-hards have created specialty drinks to order based on your favorite pop culture references. While they aren’t verified menu items, they will be your new go-to every October. Be sure to bring the recipe with you to Starbucks!

According to the creators at Totally the Bomb, the easiest way to cherish this drink is to order “a single-shot [of espresso], chai [syrup], Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino, whipped cream and java chips, with mocha drizzle inside the cup.” It’s filled with pumpkin spice and everything nice for the kings and queens of Halloween.

It may be nicknamed the IT Frappuccino, but the creators at Totally the Bomb were not clowning around when they created this concoction. Ask your barista for a Vanilla Bean Frapp, with strawberry puree drizzled at the top and/or the middle/bottom of the cup. Top with whipped cream, more strawberry drizzle, and maybe even a frozen strawberry to add that red balloon effect.

The Slimer Frappuccino

When you want a green, spooky drink — who you gonna call? Your local barista! This Ghost Busters-themed Frappuccino is a total treat when you’re looking for something new to try. Start by ordering a Grande Green Tea Frappuccino with no sweetener. Add one pump of white mocha and one pump of peppermint. Top it with whip and strawberry puree, and you got the perfect drink for any little monster.

Strawberry lovers, this frightful delight is for you! Order a Grande Strawberry and Cream Frapp with extra puree. Add strawberry inclusions and mocha drizzle to the top and bottom of the cup. Top with whipped cream and more mocha drizzle and you have an easy to order, scary drink to enjoy! *Background music not included.*

Finally, Halloween isn’t Halloween without a bit of Hocus Pocus. This year, you can actually order one of three themed drinks from the movie!

The Winifred Frap

This drink will look exactly like Winifred’s hair and personality — bright and bold. Start by ordering a Green Tea Frappuccino. Then ask for one pump of mocha, one pump of peppermint syrup, crushed strawberry, and finish it off with whipped cream. Delicious!

The Mary Frap

If you’re a chocolate-covered strawberry lover, you’re bound to add this to your seasonal must-have list. Start by ordering a Strawberry and Cream Frappuccino. Then add strawberry inclusions and sub the sweetener for white mocha. Finish it off by asking for a mocha drizzle and strawberry puree on top. You can also ask to include it at the bottom of the drink for extra flavor as well.

The Sarah Berry Blast

This drink is definitely for the sweet Sarah’s of the world since it’s bursting with energy. The drink begins with a violet drink base with extra berries. Substitute the coconut milk with soy milk and ask for a double blend — this will give your drink the desired texture. Ask for whipped cream and top with ginger powder. This way, the drink will be purple like her outfit, and the top will be yellow like her hair.

Halloween doesn’t have to turn into tricks with no treats when you become an adult. Celebrate the holiday by trying a few of these Halloween-themed drinks and enjoy your night of handing out candy. Or enjoying a scary movie marathon. The choice is yours!
