10 Gifts You Actually Want Him To Get You This Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is coming up and that means getting chocolates, flowers, and stuffed toys for the majority of couples out there. Receiving a heart-shaped box of sweets and red roses feel nice the first time around, but once the element of surprise wears off, these gifts don’t seem worth it anymore. I mean, how useful are stuffed bears really? So if you do celebrate Valentine’s Day, maybe it’s time to step away from the stereotypical lovey-dovey gifts. I know lots of people sit at a computer all day and would appreciate Valentine’s Day ecards, and I know if I had a choice, I would definitely opt out of the chocolates and flowers in exchange for these unusual present ideas.

1. Netflix subscription

A sure way to my heart is paying for my Netflix subscription for a couple of months. There is definitely no better way to show someone that you care about them. I would love it if someone would help me indulge in my guilty pleasures. So if anyone wants to Netflix and Chill, please provide the Netflix first.

2. Wine

White wine, red wine, sangria are all longed for after a long and stressful day. Little wine trinkets are also welcome, like cute wine glasses or corks that might brighten up every single monotonous day that all of us have to go through. In other words, anything that would make a girl laugh because of a witty slogan is a sure way to win her over.

3. Some greasy food

It’s nice to go out to a fancy dinner. But most of the time, eating a burger and fries satisfies me even more. It’s so nice to have a cheat day when the holiday weight is still not giving me a rest. Definitely, some onion rings, chicken wings, and pizza is at the top of my priority list for Valentine’s Day.

4. A staycation

Organize a spa day for your significant other. I would love to get some massage vouchers. Every girl wants to be pampered and feel like a queen for a day. This is definitely one of the best ways to convey to someone that you care. Or just a foot massage at home can do the trick.

5. Texting gloves

I am really hoping for an early spring. But is that really going to happen? Checking my phone in the cold is a mission. So texting gloves become a necessity during winter months. Getting this present really shows that your significant other is worried about your well-being and doesn’t want your hands to freeze off!

6. Concert tickets

This one is a bit on the pricey side but what better way is there to spend Valentine’s Day? This is definitely not going to be just another dinner and a movie date; this one will be remembered for years to come.

7. Portable battery pack

My phone battery dies halfway through the day, every single day. This would save me time from the constant scavenger hunt for outlets wherever I go. Not only is this present useful but it can also be meaningful since there are so many cute designs that these power banks come in. Rechargeable phone cases and docks are also more than welcome.

8. Instant camera

As a 90s kid, I need an instant camera. This type of present has not only material worth, but also sentimental value. However, a portable photo printer is also a good present choice.

9. Snuggie

Something that warms me up on a cold winter day is at the top of my priority list. Actually, anything that can make me comfortable when I binge-watch my shows is always a good gift idea, so a body pillow also does the trick.

10. Puppy or kitten

This one is out there, but a girl can dream, right?

At the end of the day, Valentine’s Day should not be about presents at all. It’s about showing that you care for your partner, and to celebrate the love you have for one another. So any gift is a great one as long as it comes from the heart!
