As the year draws to a close, I find myself reflecting on the progress and decisions I’ve made throughout the year. There are times when I wish I had accomplished more, but then I surprise myself with the progress I have made. I’m sure that many of you can relate to this feeling.
I’ve come to realize that progress isn’t always immediate. It often takes time to recognize how far you’ve come. However, rest assured that the moment of realization will always arrive, and these moments are essential for personal growth.

Three years ago
I played hopscotch,
I went with the flow,
And left nothing to dodge.
One year passed,
I sat on the slide.
Others had a blast,
I couldn’t, and I tried.
As time flies,
I did what I could,
It was unwise,
But I’d say “I should”
One day,
It all came to a stop.
I felt I lost my way.
Staring at my flip flops.
But I knew I had to go,
The walk was never-ending
Even if it felt slow,
I knew it wasn’t just the beginning.
After a few years,
I looked back,
Saw the games and I cheered,
The doors opened at last.
It’s true that the right opportunity in life may not always be immediately visible. It may take days, weeks, or even years to achieve something worthwhile with persistence and dedication, but it will eventually come your way.
And when that opportunity comes, you’ll realize that the effort and the difficulties were worth it.
