10 Unique And Thoughtful Last-Minute Gift Ideas

You’re making your list (of who to get a gift for), checking it twice, and…YIKES! You realize you forgot someone. Time is ticking and you need something fast. Thank goodness priority shipping and malls and stores are all around us and can quickly bring something to fruition. Below is a list of some quick-minute ideas for unique gifts that will look well thought out.

1. Scratch Offs

For $20, you can get a handful of scratch-off lottery tickets. Everyone enjoys scratching them off and the potential to win some extra money is always appealing.

2. An Experience

Giving someone something to do rather than a tangible item can be an awesome experience. The receiver of your gift will think of you not only as you give them the gift but when they partake in the experience, too. Many places have online gift certificate buying where you can print it as soon as you purchase making your turnaround time more feasible.

3. DIY Coupon Book

Gifts of service such as free babysitting for a cousin, a personal massage for a spouse, or a week free of laundry for a roommate can be an ultimate win. Writing something on a cute card makes it an easy gift for you to have ready on a dime and is something almost anyone would appreciate.

4. Print What’s Coming

Though to some this may not be ideal, if you buy something for someone that won’t get here in time, if you print a picture of what you got them and tell them there were shipping delays, there can still be an element of surprise and appeal to it.

5. Make a Basket

Movie night, at-home spa night, in-home cooking class. A few of these themes can be executed when you go to the store and fill a basket with related items. This can come off as well thought out and allows them to enjoy something in the future.

6. Gift Cards

Some people don’t like giving gift cards but if it directly correlates to an interest someone has or something they like (Aunt Susie’s morning coffee), they’ll appreciate it and use it for sure. Visa gift cards can also be good as they can be used on many things.

7. Donate in Their Honor

Do you know of a cause near and dear to their heart? Find a local or worldwide organization that supports the cause and donate in honor of the person you’re giving a gift to.

8. Uncommon Goods

Uncommon Goods is a website that sells items that promise to be unique that others may not come across in ordinary stores. Browsing their site can be fun to find something special for that last person on your list.

9. Pens

This may seem weird but as people get older and more into their career fields, their appreciation for pens grows. Grab a multipacket of nice pens, slap a bow on it, and call it a day.

10. Think of Extended Family

If your gift recipient has a pet or children, give a gift that the family can all enjoy together whether it be dog toys or a movie gift certificate. There’s always joy in caring for the whole individual.

We hope some of these ideas helped. What is the most unique gift you’ve given or received?  Let us know in the comments below. We hope you all have a memorable, happy, and safe holiday season.
