A Letter To Everyone Who Made My Past Christmases Special

To everyone who made my Christmas special, thank you.

This holiday season, I started reflecting on my “Christmases past.” Christmas was always a big deal in my family, and it’s all thanks to everyone who made the holiday season extra special. I’ve reflected on this holiday season, and I want to take a moment to share some thoughts. Looking back on the memories with my family, it hits me how much of a big deal Christmas was. And a huge part of that is thanks to all you incredible people who made it extra special.

I remember those times when you pitched in to help my parents sneak in an extra gift under the tree. That meant a ton. And how could I forget the cookie-decorating chaos? I treasure that memory, permanently etched into my holiday tapestry. Those sledding adventures and the warmth of hot cocoa on chilly days – you made those moments magical.

Back then, we had pretty straightforward  Christmases – like dollar store toys beneath a tiny tree. Some years, we didn’t even have a tree in our living room. I remember wandering through department store aisles, looking at those beautifully lit trees and wishing for a Christmas like the ones in the movies.

But you all showed me something important – that Christmas represents more than material things. It’s not just the lights or the ornaments; it’s about the connections we share. Above all else, Christmas is the warmth we bring one another that makes the holidays truly special.

And you’ve also taught me the importance of giving during Christmas. Christmas encourages us to spread kindness and joy. In a world that sometimes feels too caught up in the material side of things, you’ve shown me the real spirit of the season – the joy that comes from giving and making others feel special.

So, thank you to every one of you who played a part in making my holidays awesome. As I work toward a better life than my childhood, I’ve got this goal in mind – to pay it forward and make others’ holidays just as special. I want to create those lasting memories, spread love, and give back because that’s the true magic of Christmas.

Thanks a bunch for taking part in my holiday story. May the coming year bring you as much joy as you’ve brought into my life.
