8 Adorable Ideas For Spending Valentine’s Day At Home

Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays that people have mixed opinions about. Some like to pamper their partners, while others feel it is over-commercialized. No matter your views, one thing rings true: the love and intimacy between you and your partner are worth celebrating. So, when you want to do something low-key to celebrate Cupid’s Day, test one of the ideas below.

1. Passport, please!

Transform your living space into a foreign country. You can play music from a culture of your choice, do an Italian wine pairing, or cook a dish from another country. You can also plan a fantasy vacation by browsing the internet for all the tourist attractions in a place you’ve always dreamed of visiting. Have fun with it!

2. Game on!

Add some fun to the mix by having your very own game night. The creativity is in your hands with this one, and you can keep it simple with a board game or make your own scavenger hunt. If group games are a blast for you, you could always invite another couple over to share in the fun.

3. Pack a picnic.

If the weather permits, pack a basket full of goodies and hit the backyard. Find a frisbee to toss and pack easy and fun light bites. Since you’ll be in the comfort of your own home, pop some bubbly if the mood suits you. Either way, just enjoy one another’s company and ditch the phones.

4. Sweets for my sweet.

The internet has a slew of themed dessert recipes. Try to whip one up with your honey. You can go classic with chocolate-covered strawberries or kick it up a notch and try some at-home fondue. Take turns serving one another to keep the romantic spark going.

5. Cupid’s shuffle.

Transform your living space into a ballroom. Scour the internet for some dance tutorial videos and practice your best moves with your partner. The best part of this idea? No one is watching, so feel free to just let loose and have fun.

6. InSPAration.

Make an at-home spa night and soak up all the relaxation you can. Share a bubble bath followed by massages with warm oils. Do a face mask or a foot scrub. And enjoy it all with some soothing music and candlelight. It’ll be the most relaxing and intimate environment.

7. Pour one out.

You don’t need to go to an overpriced and crowded bar to have a fancy cocktail. Instead, look up some unique recipes and find one you would both enjoy. If you want, you can up your fancy with some new glassware or even make a personalized cup as a small gift for your honey. Being home also means staying safe if you like the drink enough and find yourself wanting another.

8. Crush craft.

Get your creative juices flowing and take on an art project together. This could be something simple, such as arranging artificial flowers for a new door wreath or getting really creative and refurbishing a piece of furniture. Work together to cast a vision and watch it unfold!

As mentioned at the beginning, it really doesn’t matter what you do to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your partner as long as you’re connected, intentional, and loving. Do you have a unique way of celebrating Valentine’s at home? Let us know in the comments below!
