This App Will Pair You With Your New Best Friend For Life

On Tuesday, a new app was released, called Rendezwho. The purpose of this app? To pair you with a stranger. For life. Now before you go all commitment-phobe and bail, hear me out.

After you download the app, you answer three introductory questions. And then, they use that information (along with your Facebook information to make sure that you’re a real human), to match you with another person within 24 hours.

Needless to say, I am convinced that whoever this person is will be my new best friend.

The app tells you how many miles they are from you, and the only way that you can communicate is through Spotify and Giphy. Aside from the daily questions that you both answer, that’s all you get to know about them…for now.

My husband and I were both beyond stoked when we heard about this app, and we downloaded it immediately. I checked the app at least once an hour for the first day, hoping to see that I’d been matched. I was anxious, and hello…this person is going to be my best friend. I’m sure of it.

When I finally got the notification that I’d been matched, I almost died from excitement. And my match is only a little over 500 miles away from me. That means that the possibility of meeting them is super possible.

In fact, the purpose of this app was to inspire people to travel.

My husband’s match is a little over 1,000 miles away. As we began to talk about it, we realized that, despite our hopes to be matched with someone who was obviously outside of the US, the app makes it possible for you to actually meet them. I foresee spontaneous road trips as my husband and I search for our newfound friends.

Once you get within a certain mileage of your match, a new feature is enabled, allowing you to communicate to set up a meeting. In case you’re wondering what happens if you don’t think you’ll like your match? Tough luck. You get one stranger, one match.

However, to prevent you from getting cold feet and letting down your new friend, they require you to be active on the app at least once every 15 days. If not, they boot you out. Forever. Like, you can’t ever be matched ever again. Guys, this is a once in a lifetime app.

And if you just so happen to be one of the unlucky few who is matched with a lazy ass who gets booted off, you’ll be rematched with someone who is better at committing. You won’t be punished for your previous matches stupid mistakes.

So what are you waiting for? Why haven’t you downloaded the app yet? And where in the world will this app take you?
