Trying to come up with an original idea on how to celebrate your birthday is extremely challenging. You want to make it different than the traditional pub night or grand dinner, but you don’t want to break the budget either.
Luckily for you, I have 8 unique ways to celebrate your birthday this year that all millennials will enjoy!
Go Bowling Like a Throwback Party
Remember the days of birthday parties at the bowling alley? Why not do that again? You probably haven’t done it in over ten years, but it’ll still be a lot of fun and will cause some good laughs.
Rent an AirBNB
If you want to feel rich and fabulous for a weekend, rent an AirBNB with your friends (or a cottage). You could explore the local town and try out new restaurants, party indoors at your weekend getaway, or go to a local bar or club, all while enjoying some time away from home!
Take a Day Trip Somewhere
Whether you’ve been there before or not, grab your gal pals and go for an adventure. It could consist of sight seeing or shopping, but the point is to go somewhere you normally wouldn’t and do things together you don’t always get the chance to do.
Have a Movie Night With Fancy Food and Drinks
Get your girls over in their comfiest PJ’s and watch some classic chick flicks with wine, yummy treats and a lot of blankets and pillows. You could even turn it into an old school sleepover! Those were always fun.
Try a New Group Fitness Class
One thing I think would be fun for a different birthday party idea as an adult would be to take a personal Zumba class or pole dancing class with my friends. I’ve never done it but I feel like it would be a memorable activity for everyone in attendance and the memories will last forever (unlike the muscle pain).
Go on a Paint Night
These may have become less popular or may seem overdone! But, when it’s a different kind of picture or group of people you’re doing it with it makes for a new experience. Plus everyone gets to bring home a treat!
Try a New Dessert Place
Dinners might be overdone, but desserts never are! You could either get a bunch of different ones to split, try ones you’ve never had before, or indulge in your favorites. The point is to splurge and enjoy yourself.
Nothing screams fun like a good old fashioned game night! You could do it at home or at a trendy game lounge (if you haven’t tried one, I highly recommend it), and play your old favorites! Heck, you could even go to an arcade or Dave and Busters. They’re all equally as fun as the other.
Celebrating your birthday doesn’t have to always be the same dinners or club nights. There are so many other ways to spend your special day with the ones you love that can be unique and original. So next time your big day comes around, suggest one of these activities for a good time! Now go celebrate because it’s your day!
