From Self-Care To Self-Love: 5 Tips For Ultimate Well-Being

Am I not good enough? Why can’t I be like them? These are just some questions you ask yourself when you feel less than others. Questioning your self-worth and comparing yourself to others is normal. Your feelings are valid. But how do you get past them if everything seems too much to handle?

 1. Compare yourself to yourself.

Feeling hurt when someone is better than you is normal. Whether it is about why someone looks prettier and excels academically or professionally, it is normal because you are human. What is not normal is dwelling on these feelings. Reflecting on how far you have grown will help you see your worth.

 2. Surround yourself with the right people.

Cut off toxic people and surround yourself with the good ones. Spend time loving the right people around you instead of the wrong ones. It’s only a waste of energy. Get rid of things that are not serving you. The right people will make you happy, help you grow, and not drag you down.

Self-care starts when you learn to say no. Saying yes just because you don’t want to fail people’s expectations will only make things more difficult. Whatever it is, you have the right to set boundaries. It is okay to say no. Protect your peace.

 4. Pause and bounce back.

When things are too much to handle, pause and breathe. There are days when life is too difficult. Remember that you don’t always have to be on the go. Sometimes, all you have to do is pause for a while. You take a break not because you give up but because you need to gather the courage to continue. And that is normal and beautiful. Pause and bounce back.

5. Choose yourself.

The most important self-care tip is to choose yourself. There are times you will be forced to decide in challenging situations. Remember to choose yourself when you feel like things are not going well and you struggle to make sense of everything. Choose happiness. Choose yourself.

When you start living in the moment, you fall in love with life. This will only happen if you know how to protect your inner peace, happiness, and self-worth. Learning how to take care of yourself properly will help you understand and love yourself more.
