Read This If You’re Feeling The Stress Of Senior Year

The only thing that everyone will definitely do in their final year at college is struggle. It is in your final year that you’ll realize life is getting more serious than ever and there will be a lot of responsibilities. Your mind will be full of the tasks that you’ll confront with final projects, research papers, assignments, internships, graduation, and your considerations about life after college. Everybody is getting busier and you have to start doing everything by yourself. You will begin to notice that your friends are drifting into different directions one by one and there is nothing you can do but deal with that.

When you feel like giving up in your final year, please remember that nobody is really sure what they are doing. Everybody is confused about their life, doubting their decisions, and worrying about what will happen in the future. In the final year of college, everybody will face the same confusion and frustration, and you are not the only one who is feeling lost. Despite the fact that everybody is looking for the right way to live, please, remember that you have your own path.

In your final year, please note that you don’t have to follow your friends. If everyone is graduating in the next month, but you are still doing your research internship, let them graduate and just focus on your internship. If your friends are getting job offers while you’re still searching for your passion, focus on finding what you’re meant to do in your life. Don’t stress out just because your time hasn’t come yet. All of those things will come soon. Remember that the universe has actually planned everything the way it should be.

The key to happiness in your final year is not to compare yourself to anyone but yesterday’s version of yourself.

When you want to give up in your final year, always remember that sometimes you have to dance in the middle of the rain. You can’t ask the universe to stop all the problems just for you, but you can learn to deal with them every second, every hour, and every day in your final year. Start to learn to cope with the stress when unexpected things happened out of nowhere. Maybe you have to change your thesis title, maybe you have to rearrange your plans, or maybe your graduation day will be postponed. Despite the fact that you will face so many obstacles in your final year, believe that every problem always come with thousand solutions.

In your final year, please prioritize your well-being and self-love; you have to find what feels good because life is going to be hard.

You have to learn to appreciate yourself more often in every little thing that you’ve done and will do. Don’t expect your happiness to come from graduating, getting a job offer, or earning a perfect GPA; put your happiness on each step you’ve made to become who you are. You have to be proud of yourself for always giving the best you can in every situation. Be proud of those sleepless nights when you’re doing research or finishing your final project. Be proud that you are still holding on to the relationships with those you loved in the middle of your busy life. Be proud that you’re still active in the Student Union and other programs. Be proud that you’re still able to put yourself together each day.

Don’t feel guilty if all you’ve done in a day was read your favorite book, snuggle with the people you love, or write posts for your blog. Don’t be too hard on yourself because you deserve to seize this life to the fullest.

Your final year will be tough, but all of that will only happen in order for you to survive in the real life.

When you are ready to give up in your final year, remember that the whole world outside your university is waiting for you to come along. There are still a lot of countries that you haven’t visited, a lot of faces that you haven’t met, and there are a lot of amazing things in your life that haven’t happened yet. The best is yet to come, so please hold on. You will go through this and at the end of the day, hard work pays off.
