4 TikToks That Are Sure To Get Rid Of Your Baby Fever

Almost every person gets the occasional baby fever. After all, babies are cute, sweet, and innocent — until they’re not. We often see videos that feature adorable babies in their sweetest moments, which make us think parenthood is all good. But they don’t show us all the downsides to having a baby, such as diaper blowouts, screaming until 2 am, and projectile vomiting. As a mother to a three month-old, I’m starting to feel the baby fever again despite all the hard times. So now is the time to make sure it goes away. Here are some baby-fever-killing videos I found on my deep-dive through TikTok.

Kids are great, but they’re still a handful, though! The amount of poop and puke that kids go through is amazing. Honestly, you don’t realize how much fluid a baby can produce. Kids also like to bounce off each other, creating double or triple the mess.

Back to the poop: It gets a *tiny* bit better once you get past the newborn stage — definitely not a lot better, though. Instead of five poops a day, it just turns into one MASSIVE poop every day or so. Diapers only get messier from here.

Honestly, no one tells you how weird and gross soft spots are. Just look at it: IT’S THROBBING! Is it completely normal? Yes. Does it feel absolutely atrocious? Also yes. It’s extremely cringy, and it’s something every baby has.

I have to throw another poop video in here. Babies poop so much during the first month of their life that you question if they are healthy. It’s okay. They’re fine, there’s  — just so much poop.

TikTok has a lot of videos that will give you baby fever because, let’s be honest, babies are absolutely adorable! But, unfortunately, for every cute moment, there is an equally gross moment too. I would never dissuade someone from having a child, but make sure the time is right before jumping into parenthood. It comes with a rollercoaster of emotions and constant chaos once that child gets to be a little bit older.
