To think that the 2010s are coming to an end soon is mind-blowing — especially considering it feels like we’re still stuck in 2015. It’s hard to remember historical moments and the dating history of your best friends, but it’s always oddly easy to remember songs from around rough periods. 

But can you remember which songs were popular in what year? I’ve compiled a list of the most popular songs per year over the last decade to see if you can remember what was hot, and if the timing it came into your life was not.

It’s really hard to believe that so many great songs were released over the past ten years, especially ones that inspired dance trends and challenges. These songs will definitely make you feel nostalgic in some way and will help make the best New Year’s Eve playlist. It’s exciting to think about what songs will make a splash in the next decade and all the new artists that we’ll be introduced to.
