Ellie Rand is a freshman at Syracuse University, where she is pursuing a degree in Journalism with a minor in Political Science. Passionate about storytelling and current events, she hopes to combine her love for writing with her interest in both politics and sports to pursue a career in news reporting or sports journalism. Ellie enjoys traveling and exploring cultures, trying new restaurants, playing tennis, going to the gym, and listening to music. She is currently involved with the Daily Orange (university newspaper), Citrus TV (student-run TV station), and club tennis.
