1. Little White Dresses
Move over, LBD — the little white dress is here! White dresses are a timeless spring staple, but 2024’s little white dresses will be far from boring. You’ll see plenty of volume in these dresses next year — puffed sleeves, flowy skirts, and draping fabric that’ll give some major Greek goddess vibes. White will be the color in 2024, but it won’t just be classic; it’ll be classical too. Now’s the perfect time to add a breezy white dress to your wardrobe!
2. Slash Cutouts
Cutouts have been trending for awhile, but 2024 fashion will take cutouts to the next level. According to Vogue, 2024’s hottest new cutout looks more like a controlled slash than the usual “peephole” opening. Of course, some cutouts will have transparent fabric layers for some subtle sexiness, while others will let you show off plenty of bare skin. 3. Structural Corsets
We all love a corset moment, and 2024 will be full of them, but these corsets won’t be your traditional sculptural corsets. You’ll find some corsets that’ll transport you to the 1950s with their flares at the chest and hips. Others, though, feature nontraditional materials, like plastic, and leave absolutely nothing to the imagination.
In fact, designer Thierry Mugler already sent a racy corset down the spring 2024 catwalk. Mugler paired the black latex corset with matte leggings. Talk about a fierce summer look to rock on all of your nights out!
4. Rose-Inspired Pieces
Roses are the sweet new trend you’ll want to wear everywhere next year. Some of next year’s hottest dresses are shaped like rose petals, while other high-fashion looks made of fresh roses are just now hitting the catwalk. In 2024, you’ll see roses on everything, from jackets to purses to jewelry.
Balmain’s cropped, short-sleeve red jacket features two leather rose blooms on the chest. On the catwalk, the jacket topped a sculptural mini-dress with a large-scale rose print in pink and blue. Simone Rocha also showed a transparent black two-piece dress with a long-stemmed lavender rose print. 2024 fashion is already in full bloom!
5. Eco-Friendly Jewels
Givenchy may have started 2024’s pearl trend, but that’s not all you’ll expect to see in the jewelry department next year. Pearls are a signal of status and achievement, but the biggest trend will be a shift towards eco-friendly jewelry, like lab-grown diamonds and Moissanite stones. Synthetic stones are eco-conscious and ethical, so they’ll appeal to anyone who wants a little extra sparkle in their wardrobe next year without hurting the planet.
