If You Build Friendships On Gossip, No One Is Safe

Ned’s Declassified Podcast features Devon Werkheiser, Daniel Lee, Lindsey Shaw, and Daniel Curtis from Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. While listening to one of the episodes, they brought up the topic of friendship. That is where Devon said this: “If you build friendships and relationships on gossip, no one is safe.”

And I have to say I couldn’t agree more with that. A friendship should be based on common interests like TV shows, your favorite color, your favorite type of food, or your profession and not on spreading gossip and negativity. It should be a two-way street of support and positivity to help each other reach their goals and dreams. Friendship is a valuable gift and should be treated carefully.

The concept of friendship should be appreciated instead of neglected.

We should be aware of our actions and how they affect our friends. We should strive to create meaningful connections with those around us and treat them respectfully and kindly. And we should also be willing to listen and offer support and advice.

We should help each other grow, not build relationships on toxicity and gossip. Be positive and encouraging, and never give up on people. Show them you are there for them, no matter how tough times are.

This is like how a garden grows; you can’t expect a flower to bloom unless you nurture it with care and give it the right environment to flourish. The same applies to friendships; they must be rooted in a strong foundation of kindness and support to truly blossom.

Quality friendships take effort and dedication to maintain. It’s important to be there for your friends through thick and thin and be honest and open about your feelings. Ultimately, good friendships are built on trust, respect, and understanding.

In the long run, it is unlikely that a friendship based on gossip will last because it leads to distrust. Building true friendships takes time and effort, but it’s worth it. Friendships based on mutual respect and understanding are more likely to last. Investing in relationships by taking the time to get to know each other and being honest is key to having a successful friendship. Genuine friendships benefit both parties and can be a source of strength and support.

These types of friendships bring joy into our lives and can help us grow as individuals. They also provide us with a sense of belonging and have the potential to make us happier and healthier.
