In lieu of March Madness being in it’s exciting final stretch, game by game, we’ve noticed everyone’s brackets absolutely crumbling. Devastation is the only emotion NCAA fans have been experiencing.
However, one creative Twitter user was annoyed by the constant talk of basketball and decided to create a bracket for the things that really should be compared: Disney movies.
It’s been left unclear how or who exactly started these hilarious brackets, but we’re certainly glad they are now a thing because the debates this has caused so far are hilarious!
It all started with the lifelong question we’ve been dying to ask… Who is better? Disney or Pixar?
It’s a thing I’ve seen a couple of people do. Picking what you think is the best Disney or Pixar film using these brackets. Here’s a blank one if you want to try it 😉 pic.twitter.com/Ny6R4cd0Ch

Initially people were outraged when anyone picked anything other than their pick. This lineup was pretty difficult. Pixar had some great movies, but in most brackets they didn’t take out the Disney classics.
Next came this gem of a bracket that actually gave us some true Disney feels with very specific and fitting categories to match.

Almost released at the same time as the previous bracket, another “in-your-face” with Disney bracket design came out.
How's your March Madness Bracket so far? Maybe you'll want to check out this Disney/Pixar bracket instead! I got Emperor's New Groove, but Wreck-It Ralph was a close second. There's also a blank one for you to fill out! pic.twitter.com/d6ofNURInV

Personally, I loved the characters and the castle in the background. It added an appealing touch and really stuck to the theme.
Then one came out where even more movies were named to the lineup.
Blank version! No idea who made this, but its way better than the really popular, albiet super-limited, one that’s gone viral. #DisneyBracket pic.twitter.com/yWvhzQunYe

I will admit, because of the additional movie selection, this was probably the hardest one I’ve had to complete. Shockingly, it’s not making its rounds more on social media than it should because of the diversity of films.
Finally, the largest and hardest bracket was released.
After many hours of careful thought and research, we present to you the Official All-Time Disney/Pixar Movie Bracket: a thread. pic.twitter.com/EVzdJlQSrV

It may not be the most decorative, but the creativity in selecting these films was awesome! The pairings were by far the most difficult part because they were so tough. I loved the challenge of filling this out because it was so hard to choose a movie.
In the spirit of Disney loving and creativity, people are also making their own twists and creating minimized Disney themed brackets surrounding specific topics.
There’s one for Disney princes…

The match up’s in the first round were pretty tough, but everyone has an automatic final round winner that was obvious from the start.
There’s one for Disney Songs too. And as this Twitter user stated, this is truly a moment to appreciate.

This gem of a Disney fan even created a blank page for you to create your own bracket from scratch to use against your own friends.

Not all heroes wear capes or Minnie Mouse ears.
And from there, plenty of other great brackets have been made, including this one. And all I gotta say is, seriously SpiffyChicken1, Enchanted had the best song of all time!? Outraged.
Thanks for the template! Gonna go cry now pic.twitter.com/SPAhLIMFwz

So who was the general consensus winner? These diehard fans have a few things to say.
It's honestly embarrassing looking at folks' Disney brackets and seeing how wrong they are. SMH. Lion King is the best, we all know this, no need to debate it. Don't @ me, unless it's to discuss Beauty & the Beast, in which case I'll listen to your argument.

The amount of people I’ve seen put lilo and stitch over the lion king on this Disney bracket is baffling

My husband just picked Finding Nemo over Lion King in his Disney bracket and I am divorcing him. He also said Toy Story was shit. TOY STORY.
— Plain Jane (@plainjane) March 28, 2018
Halen and I were discussing the Disney brackets and both of us got way too bothered over the fact that Tarzan had to go against The Lion King in the first round. SMH Tarzan should've been at least a 3 seed

doing one of those Disney movie brackets and one of the matchups came down to The Lion King vs. The Little Mermaid. The only option was to quit the whole thing bc that’s just not right.

I would have to say Lion King dominated most favorite movies, and rightfully so, it was an awesome movie. And I am glad to see some of these films getting the recognition they deserve.
All in all, this trend has been a hilarious few days on Twitter and I’m glad to see people taking this so passionately and re-living movies they haven’t talked about in years with friends. It’s really bringing people together and bringing us back to the good old days.
