Your Perfect Career, Based On Your Zodiac Sign

career

At some point in the past 365 days, you’ve had a birthday. So happy belated birthday! We didn’t get you a card, but we did find the time to create a career guide based on your zodiac sign.

By now, you must surely know your zodiac sign (or, if you’re really particular, your sun sign). Maybe you have a rose quartz tucked into your bra to keep your anxiety from fluttering around. Perhaps you use sage oil to boost your mood. Maybe your parents wouldn’t even let you read your horoscope when you were growing up, so this is your post-adolescence rebellion. Any which way, welcome to your career guide!

Aries (March 21–April 19)

The symbol for Aries is the Ram. Stubborn, assertive, and determined, you’re the first to shine in the zodiac line-up. Not one to bow to pressure easily, you’re extremely ambitious. Aries do particularly well in leadership or entrepreneurial roles where they get to be boss, so long as they’re passionate about their careers. Great jobs for an Aries: Team manager, small (or big!) business owner.

Taurus (April 20–May 20)

The symbol for Taurus is the Bull. But Taurus, you’re definitely not bullheaded! Honest as they come and dependable to boot, you also like the finer things in life. As a Taurus, you can be happy in a financially stable, standard 9-to-5 office job — as long as you have time to dream and create. However, you wouldn’t enjoy a job where you don’t feel like a valuable part of a team. Great jobs for a Taurus: Marketing, banking, public relations, design.

Gemini (May 21–June 21)

The symbol for Gemini are the Twins. Adaptable and charming, Geminis can shine in the workplace, but they may shy away from more managerial roles. If you’re a Gemini, you may welcome changes, as they provide you with the stimulation that you crave. Thanks to your versatile and spontaneous nature, you can even work in more than one field at any given time. A job that allows you to travel would suit you well, Gemini. Great jobs for a Gemini: Advertising agent, traveling nurse, songwriter, educator.

Cancer (June 22–July 22)

The symbol for Cancer is the Crab. With a penchant for nurturing, you embrace responsibility and vigilance over what you care about. Though you can be a bit of a daydreamer, your dreamy nature doesn’t mean that you lack the drive to succeed. With your sensitive nature makes you adept at helping others and improving their lives. Great jobs for a Cancer: Social worker, psychologist, nurse, content creator.

Leo (July 23–August 22)

The symbol for a Leo is a Lion. And wow, can you roar! I’ll be blunt because you are too: What you consider confidence, others may view as arrogance. But it isn’t arrogance if you have the goods to back it up, right? You aren’t exactly a team player, Leo; you like the spotlight. But there are so many ways that you can shine and snag the gold that comes with being a leader. Great jobs for a Leo: Lawyer, architect, actor, politician.

Virgo (August 23–September 22)

The symbol for a Virgo is a Virgin. “Type A” doesn’t even begin to describe you. Detail-oriented, attentive, and hyper-focused, you’ll get the job done, Virgo, no matter what it is. A hard worker who thrives on routine, you do well in “helping” professions or in a career that directly contributes to your community. You want to make an impact, and you want to do it as well as possible. Great jobs for a Virgo: Writer, researcher, nutritionist, nurse, photographer.

Libra (September 23–October 23)

The symbol for Libra is the Scale. Libras are all about justice and balance. If you’re a Libra, you thrive on integrity. Your laid-back demeanor makes you an office favorite. Libras enjoy showcasing their creative side, but they can fulfill this need when they have a strong connection to their work. Great jobs for a Libra: Law enforcement or criminal justice, activist, customer service management.

Scorpio (October 24–November 21)

The symbol for Scorpio is the Scorpion. Scorpios are wicked smart. However, it’s how Scorpio uses their mental power that matters. Are you a logical intellectual or more creative? No one in the zodiac can match your intuition, not to mention your killer resourcefulness, which definitely helps in your career. Great jobs for a Scorpio: Private investigator, legal analyst, psychologist, financial advisor.

Sagittarius (November 22–December 21)

The symbol for Sagittarius is the Archer. Sagittarians have larger-than-life personalities and are in touch with their spiritual sides. They’re diplomatic — they excel at keeping their friend groups running smoothly even when Brianna kissed Charmaine’s ex at a rooftop party. As a Sagittarius, you’re a natural, spontaneous performer, always up for a toast or some bad karaoke. The only thing that kills your mood is stagnancy. You need variety and autonomy in your career. Great jobs for a Sagittarius: Editor, hospitality, travel content creator, mediator.

Capricorn (December 22–January 19)

The symbol for Capricorn is the Goat. Capricorn, one of your biggest pet peeves is when people waste your time. You’re a natural-born leader who also enjoys routine. You love rules. Some may call you “bossy,” but it’s only because you’re a total boss! Great jobs for a Capricorn: Business management, farming and agriculture, chef, principal.

Aquarius  (January 20–February 18)

The symbol for Aquarius is the Water Bearer. Aquarius, you’re the rebel of the zodiac. Any job that boxes you in will make you feel utterly miserable. The only job for you is one that gives you a purpose beyond yourself. Free-thinking and naturally curious, you love jobs that challenge you. Great jobs for an Aquarius: Activist, social worker, grassroots campaign manager, non-profit worker, ICU nurse.

Pisces (February 19–March 20)

The symbol for Pisces is the Fish. Your head is half on Earth, half in the water. Your fanciful nature means that you need a job that sparks a light in you. If you’re a Pisces, you’re intuitive, and healing comes naturally to you. Pisces, you’re an introvert and a stickler for boundaries, so any job that involves emailing or calling after hours is a no-no. Great jobs: Philanthropy, health care worker, artist, writer, theologian, cartomancer.

Whether you’re rage-applying, “quiet quitting,” re-entering the workforce, or looking to change fields, your right fit is out there! There are plenty of jobs that could become your perfect career — just look to your star sign.
