Here’s All The Tea On The Latest Selena & Hailey Bieber Drama

Over the past few days when I head to tiktok, my feed is filled with an excessive amount of Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez drama. For those who don’t know, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez dated before Hailey and Justin got married. On my  FYP, I’ve seen constant videos of Hailey possibly copying Selena in certain scenarios, and I have to say, it’s pretty weird when you see them side by side. It definitely could be a coincidence but you never truly know with Hollywood. 

As I scrolled through my feed, I became increasingly more confused about the drama that occurred. Suddenly old videos in regards to Selena and Taylor Swift started filling my feed too. I know I can’t be the only one who is confused by this sudden drama, so I decided to do some investigating and found all the tea we need to be caught up, and let’s just say, it’s not a pretty situation.

1. Selena posted a tiktok

It sounds like the drama started with Selena posting a tiktok! Something that should be simple and innocent, right? Selena put up a video making fun of herself for over-laminating her eyebrows, she dubbed the sound “my name is  Bella Hadid” and commented “I wish I was as pretty as Bella Hadid”. Following this video, Kylie Jenner (don’t ask me where she came from) posted a selfie on her IG story, and while this might seem like a typical selfie, it’s not, at the top of the picture saying “this was a mistake” which seems to be making fun of Selena and her eyebrows from her tiktok. In addition to this, another story was posted of a screenshot of Kylie and Hailey and it looks like they’re focusing on their eyebrows. Fans started going crazy, and Kylie addressed the issue in a tweet saying it was innocent fun. Selena responded saying that there were no hard feelings, but I don’t know it seems to be too much of a coincidence in my eyes. 

2. Hailey Vs Taylena

Yep, Ms. Swift somehow got involved. On tiktok an old video recently resurfaced, where Hailey while co-hosting the show “Drop the Mic” pretended to gag at the sound of Taylor Swift’s name. Taylor is one of Selena’s best friends, and Selena stood up for her friend and commented on the video stating “So sorry, my best friend is and continues to be one of the best in the game”. This comment while showing her support for her friend, made fans realize that Selena might have reached her limit with Hailey and her “mean girl” vibes, which I can understand. It’s one thing to come to make comments about someone, but it’s another to say something about the people they love most. While the video is old, it just further proves that Hailey has had a mean girl mentality towards Selena and her life for a while now.

3. Selena deactivated (then reactivated) her tiktok

And the news to tie in all the drama is the fact that Selena Gomez made the decision to deactivate her tiktok stating that she needed a break and was tired of the drama. It could be drama related to this, or possibly something else, but for right now it’s not fully known. As of right now Selena’s tiktok has been reactivated, but things can change. 

I’m not a major fan of Selena or Hailey if I’m being completely honest, but I will say that I am more on Selena’s side of this drama, she seems to be a kind and genuine person. Where Hailey seems to demonstrate the mentality of being a mean girl, and it’s pretty sad in this day and age. Throughout life we go through things and we have to learn how to overcome them. It seems like Hailey might still be caught up in the fact that Selena and Justin Bieber dated for so long,and it’s time to let that go. As for Selena, I think she needs to pick her pretty head up and remember who she is, because there are only so many celebrities like her, and she’s truly a gem.
