5 Tips To Spice Up Your Flannels This Fall

It’s that time of the year again! The leaves are slowly changing, pumpkin spice is making its comeback, and the weather is slowly starting to drop. As a result, we’re in the midst of changing our wardrobes again for all things fall, and this year you may want to add some changes to your flannels. So here are some ways to “spice” up your flannels.

1. Gold Accessories

Remember that Kendra Scott necklace you’ve wanted since the beginning of the year? Now is the time to get it! Gold jewelry or accessories go well with flannels. It’s pretty much the go-to color for fall that pairs with any warm color. Layering necklaces or pulling out that old charm bracelet of yours will definitely level up any outfit you have picked out.

2. Scarves

Who doesn’t love a good scarf? Any color or type — infinity, wrap, or long — is perfect. There are multiple ways to wear and style scarves. You can check out Pinterest or YouTube for many step-by-step guides on how to style them. If you’re wearing a patterned shirt, grab a solid scarf, or vice versa. Reds, browns, golds, or even black shades will look perfect with your fall attire!

3. T-Shirts

This seems to be a trend for many. Try wearing a t-shirt under your long-sleeved flannel, leaving it unbuttoned to show off your style! Also, pick a simple plain white or black shirt or a graphic tee and throw it on! Plus, if it gets warmer, you’ll be able to shed a layer and still be sporting a trendy top!

4. Boots

What girl doesn’t love boots? Thigh-high, ankle height, or somewhere in between, boots are a must during the fall season. No matter the brand or color, they will go with pretty much anything you decide to wear. So dust off those duck boots or Uggs and get ready to enjoy all things fall!

5. Cardigans

Taylor Swift isn’t the only one who enjoys a good cardigan. It’s perfect if you need to add an easy accessory to your wardrobe for the chilly weather. Just like with scarves, solid colors or patterns will go best depending on the flannel you already have picked out. After all, you can never have too many layers! And if it’s too warm, you can always set it aside and grab it later for when the sun goes down.

Now that you have a few options for dressing this fall, are there any you’re excited to try? Are there some that we didn’t mention, but you love wearing? Let us know in the comments!
