4 Fun DIY Projects That Even The Delta Variant Can’t Ruin

With the COVID-19 Delta variant running rampant, it’s time to find safe new ways to occupy our time. Fortunately, there’s no shortage of you do it yourself projects that you can try. Here are four projects that you’ll love:

1. Alter your clothes.

If you want to be both creative and practical, altering your clothes is perfect for you. You can use embroidery, fabric paint, or even tie-dye to truly make your clothes your own.

Get out those faded t-shirts, plain tops, and boring pants, and make them your own personal masterpieces. You can draw your favorite TV characters on them, write motivational messages, or just create pretty patterns that will elevate your everyday look.

2. Make wall art for your bedroom.

If you’re tired of staring at the same boring walls when you go to bed every night, don’t be afraid to change them up! All you need to beautify your walls is paint, a canvas, a variety of brushes, and a good varnish.

If painting isn’t really your thing, make textured collages and frame them in your room. Use materials like washi tape, cloth, leaves and twigs, cardboard, and string to add depth to your art.

3. Make a vision board.

The pandemic has to end someday, so why not spend your time planning for the future? Mood boards and vision boards are a great way to motivate yourself on hard days, and they’re also really fun to make!

Think about your hopes, dreams, and goals for the next year, as well as all of the places you want to visit when the world fully opens again. Use a mishmash of drawings, photos, and symbols to represent the things you most desire for yourself. When you finish your board, you’ll have a reminder that the best is yet to come!

4. Paint an accent wall.

Accent walls are all the rage right now, so what better way to give your room a little extra flair? Pick a color that stands out, like olive green or royal blue. You can even paint your favorite patterns on the wall or spice it up with a handmade drawing. To make the look even more dramatic, keep your other walls completely bare.

If pandemic life is feeling boring right now, don’t worry – there are still so many fun DIY ideas to try. Choose a craft that resonates with you, and release your inner creativity!
