10 Episodes Of Friends To Watch Before The Reunion

For the past 26 years, FRIENDS has captured our hearts through our TV screens. Whether you watched the show when it was first airing, or caught up on the series in reruns. With the lovable character, hilarious, and memorable moments,  once you fall in love with the group of six, it’s no mystery that you’re hooked.

This past Wednesday, HBO max released the first trailer for the FRIENDS reunion that will be airing on May 27th. The trailer showed key moments between the stars, and the characters that we’ve all grown to love over the years.

Many fans are eager to see what the reunion will bring to our screens. It’s bound to be filled with laughter, tears, and moments that we all love.

While waiting for the reunion to air, there are so many episodes to watch leading up to the anticipated event. We were able to narrow down to our favorite ten. Check out these episodes leading up to the big day!

1. S01 E01- The One Where Monica Gets A Roommate

The episode that started it all, the one where we meet the infamous six. It’s the obvious episode to begin your FRIENDS marathon with.

2. S04 E08- The One With All The Thanksgivings

Ask any FRIENDS fan what the best episodes of the show are, and I can guarantee you that they will mention at least one of the Thanksgiving episodes. In this special, the gang talks about their worst Thanksgiving memories, if you need a laugh, this is the episode for you. 

3. S10 E13- The One When Joey Speaks French

This is my all time favorite episode. Joey puts on his resume that he can speak French even though he can’t! Phoebe makes the attempt to help with this skill, but it doesn’t go over very well.  As a former French student, these scenes live rent free in my head, and will always make me laugh. 

4. S5 E24/25 The One in Vegas (Parts 1&2)

In this two part episode, you are guaranteed some laughs, and jaw dropping moments. Not only do Ross and Rachel get married, but Joey also finds his identical hand twin! It’s an episode you def need some popcorn for!

5. S7, E10 – The One With the Holiday Armadillo

Ross dresses up as an Armadillo to teach his son Ben about Hanukkah. With the help of Superman and Santa Claus, Ben learns the true meaning behind the holidays!

6. S10, E03 “The One When Ross Gets A Tan

Ross decides to get a spray tan and we learn that he’s too smart for his own good. Also, remember if you get a spray tan to count “Mississippi less”. 

7. S01, E07- The One With The Blackout

NYC experiences a blackout, and all hell breaks loose! Chandler gets stuck in an ATM vestibule with Jill Goodacre, and makes a complete fool of himself, and Ross  makes the attempt to ask Rachel out on a date, only to end up getting attacked by a cat.

8. S4, E23/24 The One with Ross’s wedding

If you don’t know this episode, it holds a shock value. Emily and Ross have their wedding and instead of say “Emily” at the ceremony, he says “Rachel”. It’s a classic and you have to see it before the reunion. 

9. S5, E11- The One with all the resolutions

For the New Year, the gang decides to come up with their New Year’s resolutions, and they don’t go according to plan. Monica takes pictures, Rachel tries to stop gossiping, and Ross? He decides to wear leather pants. 

10. S10, E17/18 The Last One (Parts 1&2)

In these two episodes, Rachel makes the decisions to take a job in Paris, Monica and Chandler’s twins are born. In this heartbreaking two part finale, we watch the gang begin the start of their new lives. This episode is one you have to watch before the reunion.
