11 New Makeup Trends You Should Experiment With

Currently, our lives are just about flipped upside down and a lot of people have more time on their hands with nowhere to spend it. Consequently, it’s prompting folks to get creative in their spare time. And even though people don’t have anywhere to go, there are still a ton of spring makeup trends that are thriving and are fun to experiment with.

Here are 11 makeup trends to experiment with ASAP, even if you’re stuck at home:

1. Glossy Eye Shadow

Put a dot of eye gloss near your lash line and blend all over your eyelid to your crease.

2. Colorful Mascara

Black is not the new black anymore. Welcome back, blue, pink, and purple!

3. Pink Eye Shadow

Although it may not be new, it’s definitely gaining popularity again and can be done in a number of ways.

4. Structured Brows

Gone are the days of big, block eyebrows. Instead, a tiny bit of eyebrow gel and a bit of shading to exaggerate the shape and boldness is totally in and here to stay – all while looking polished and natural.

5. Colorful Low Liner

Line your lower lash line with the same eyeshadow color you used on your upper lid or one that matches. It’s super easy and can be so fun, especially if you’re into bright colors.

6. Neon Eyeshadow

From bright greens and pinks to bold purples and daring yellows, all of them are in. Any combination goes.

7. Pink Blush

Some people use a lot, and some a little. It’s for you to determine what’s best for you and your lewk, honey.

8. Pastel Eyeliner

Because why wouldn’t a uniquely colored eyeliner on the top lash line be in with all the other unique colors?

9. Bright Inside Creases

The majority of the time this is done with a green or yellow color, but adding a little bit of neon to your inner crease is a huge trend you’re bound to see this spring and summer.

10. Bold Pink Lips

The brighter the pink, the bolder the statement. And who doesn’t love a pop of color on the lips every now and then?

11. Animal Print Eyeshadow

I think we all know who’s responsible for this one: Carole f*cking Baskin

By mastering these makeup looks in private, you’ll look even better when you debut them in public when life returns to normal. And I don’t know about you, but I am loving the practice time to master new looks I’ll use back in the real world.
