7 Companies That Are Selling Rainbow Gear & Giving Back This Pride Month

Many companies eagerly jump on any chance to increase sales, especially with something that highlights their brand to a large audience. Therefore, it’s no surprise that many companies are “going rainbow” this month to profit off of Pride Month. Sometimes it’s unclear who is genuinely supporting a cause by putting their money where their mouth is, but thankfully, some brands are really stepping up to the plate with their pride-inspired products.

These seven retail brands are all featuring some great Pride products this month and donating the profits to organizations, too:

Target

Big box retailer Target showed up in a big way this year! From rainbow tees and tanks to gender inclusive items, their website carries a massive Pride selection. Furthermore, Target is donating $100,000 to GLSEN, an organization that helps LGBTQ+ youth by creating safe, inclusive schools.

Tarte

Makeup mogul Tarte released some lovely products just for Pride! Everything is designed with rainbows and glitter, plus Tarte will donate $1 from each sale to LGBTQ+ organizations. Buy now, though: That $1 donation only lasts for sales during the month of June.

Converse

Since 2014, one of our favorite footwear brands has made amazing Pride shoes and tees each June. This year, Converse stepped things up a notch by adding trans flag designs, too. The company also contributes to local and worldwide organizations, including It Gets Better Project and OUT MetroWest.

Disney

Walt Disney once said that all of our dreams can come true, so it’s no surprise that Disney is painting with all the colors of the wind on over 50 products this June. The company will also donate 10 percent of all Pride merchandise to GLSEN. Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah indeed!

Levi’s

Who says denim can’t be rainbow, too? This year, Levi’s joined the Pride train with their own collection. Featuring tees, shorts, and accessories, there’s something rainbow-colored for everyone. Plus, 100% of the net proceeds from their Pride collection sales will go to OutRight Action International, an organization working to advance human rights for LGBTQ+ people all over the world.

Urban Decay

Urban Decay isn’t letting Tarte own the Pride makeup market this June. With their Heavy Metal collection, a percentage of sales will go directly to the Stonewall Community Foundation, which offers grants and scholarships to LGBTQ+ youth.

American Eagle

American Eagle constantly proves that they support equality for all. It’s no surprise that the same company who openly hires models with disabilities would also support the LGBTQ+ community. They partnered with the It Gets Better Project for their Pride collection this year. AE will donate 100% of the sales proceeds to the organization.

Whether you’re looking for something to wear in a Pride parade or just around town, these seven brands will help you out while also using your money to give back. Which pride-inspired products will you buy this month? Share with us in the comments or tag us when you post pics on social media!
