shows

Have you been searching for TV shows to binge-watch for hours on end? Do you sit in front of your TV looking for something to watch for at least an hour? Here are three TV shows to binge-watch on Netflix for days on end. (Guess what? They also have continuances!)

“Gilmore Girls”

Gilmore Girls” is one of my absolute favorites! The series spans a total of 153 episodes. The dramedy centers around a relationship between a single mother in her 30’s and her teen daughter, who both live in Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

Stars Hollow is a small town where everyone knows and supports each other The main character, Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) is a fun-loving single mom who wants the best for her daughter. Rory Gilmore (Alexis Biedel) is a scholastic teen who strives to balance school, work, and relationships. Throughout the series, the town comes together to help each other through the good times and the bad.

Since this series had a seven-year run, the stories and plot lines change as everyone grows and matures. This fast-paced dramedy was such a hit that it was revived in 2016 by Netflix with one season called “A Year In The Life”, consisting of four 90-minute episodes. I am one of the many people who hope for a season two!

“Fuller House”

This Netflix original series is based on the beloved show “Full House,” which aired from September, 1987 to May, 1995. “Full House” focused on a single father raising his three daughters with the help of his brother-in-law, Jesse (John Stamos) and his best friend, Joey (Dave Collier).

Throughout its eight-season run, the show resonated with people around the world on so many levels. When “Full House” ended, everyone was crushed.

To the world’s surprise, on February 26th, 2016, Netflix began a “Full House” revival series called “Fuller House.” People could barely contain their excitement when their favorite sitcom came back to life! The revival series includes all of the original cast members, except for the Olsen twins (who together played Michelle). The “Fuller” household brings back all of the witty comedy love that the original series showcased.

If you enjoyed “Full House” and want to watch this wonderful revival series, go right to Netflix and hit play! Be sure to catch up on the first four seasons before season 5 comes out in the fall of 2019!

“The Fosters”

This romantic drama series was a hit around the world when it premiered on ABC Family (which is now Freeform) in 2013. This series lasted for five seasons and ran for a total of 104 heartwarming episodes. “The Fosters” provided an inside look at the foster care system as well as a peek into the challenges of raising five children of different ages under one roof.

Happily married lesbian couple Stef and Lena have a total of five children. Stef has a son from a previous marriage, but the couple decides to adopt four children out of foster care at different times in their lives. The show reveals how much the family has been through together and how much they have overcome over the years. This show also shines a light on the many types of diversity in today’s families.

“The Fosters” was such a hit that Freeform released a spinoff series on January 8th, 2019. The spinoff, “Good Trouble,” will showcase the lives of the two oldest daughters, Callie and Mariana as they start off their adult lives in Los Angeles, California. It has been mentioned that the family members from “The Fosters” will make an appearance in the new spinoff.

And if you love “Good Trouble” and are eager for more, it was just announced on Twitter that “Good Trouble” has been renewed for season two!

This list of shows and spin-offs will provide you with hours of Netflix entertainment! Happy binge-watching!
