Try These 5 Simple Changes To Boost Your Metabolism

There are so many different ways to boost your metabolism and improve your health. But you should be aware, there is no trick that works magic on your weight. To change your body, you must change the way you live your life.

If you really want to speed up your slow metabolism, start with increasing your daily activity. You will see results as you move more throughout the day. Much like that simple addition of more movement, there are other tricks that can easily become habit for you.

These 5 techniques will boost metabolism and help you lose weight in a healthy way.

Eat Whole Foods

A big part of the body’s job involves breaking down food particles so that the body can absorb nutrients. If your body takes longer to do this, then you have a slower metabolism. Artificial slow metabolism treatments don’t work for long. You need natural and safe methods to speed up your metabolism. Smoothies are great for losing weight, but by giving your body lean meats, fish, fibrous vegetables, and fruit, you are speeding up your metabolic rate after eating and burning more calories.

Avoid Soda and Drink Clean Water

Caffeine may provide a bit of a boost to the metabolism, but no amount of metabolic rate increase can burn off the empty calories that these drinks contain. If you want to boost your metabolism and burn calories, try the miracle drink known as clean water.

People who drink water instead of sugary beverages are more successful at losing weight and maintaining it. Studies show that drinking 17 ounces of water increases resting metabolism by 30 percent for about an hour. Studies also show that drinking water half an hour before eating can actually decrease overeating.

Sleep Properly

Restoring your body’s whole nervous system is one of the major functions of sleep. People need different amounts of sleep, however, most people require between 7 to 9 hours of sleep for optimal health.

Scientists explain that sleep loss creates an internal battle, which makes it nearly impossible to lose weight. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body’s cortisol levels increase. This stress hormone causes your weight gain and also causes you to crave more food.

Eat Spicy Foods

Foods flavored with spices may help you drop a few pounds by decreasing your appetite. The substance that gives chili its heat is called capsaicin Capsaicin gives you a feeling of fullness, but also boosts your body’s weight loss.Studies explain that a meal with a spicy dish can boost up your metabolism by about eight percent over a person’s normal metabolic rate. So, start spicing up your meals with some cayenne pepper, black pepper, or even ginger.

Quit Stressing

Stress actually causes the body to digest food more slowly, resulting in a slower metabolism. To make matters worse, the food we want the most when we are stressed out tends to be junk food.

Researchers say that the combination of unhealthy food cravings and a stress-induced metabolic rate can result in frequent weight gain. In order to speed up your metabolism, fight stress with happy laughs. Research shows that laughter reduces stress hormones, meaning it also reduces weight gain.

Losing weight can seem like an overwhelming task. However, implementing these 5 relatively easy lifestyle changes can boost your metabolism and your weight loss. Give these scientifically proven tips a try… you won’t be disappointed!
