2019 Is The Year Of The Pig: What Does That Mean?

Tuesday, February 5th marked the start of the new year in the Chinese calendar. According to the zodiac calendar affiliated with the Chinese calendar, this year is the year of the pig.

Chinese New Year is also referred to the Spring Festival despite taking place in a rather chilly time of year. Those who celebrate welcome spring and what comes with the new season (in their calendar), planting and harvests, new beginnings and fresh starts.
