5 Hair Masks That’ll Keep Your Locks Hydrated This Winter

These dry winter months cause lots of damage to your hair. The low temperatures, dry air, and gutsy wind create static hair, split ends, dryness, and frizz. Although the air may not be moist enough to hydrate your hair, you can help out your locks by makingyour own hair masks!

This winter, make your hair moist again with my 5 favorite DIY hair masks.

Coconut Milk and Chickpea Flour

I guarantee that this will be your next go-to mask to loosen up your brittle hair. Simply combine one cup of coconut milk and two tablespoons of chickpea flour. Once you’ve mixed well, put it in your hair, wait 10 minutes, then rinse out the fragrant mixture. This easy mask will strengthen your hair enough to beat the cold temperatures.

Avocado and Honey

If you have frizzy, static hair, this will be your new favorite mask! To maintain healthy locks, just make sure you apply this combo once every three weeks. Buy a well-ripened avocado, and mash it with one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of olive oil. Leave the mixture on your head for 30 minutes, then just shampoo it out! After you use this treatment, your locks will feel wonderful.

Bananas and Mayonnaise

This unlikely combination will put moisture back into your hair and make your locks shine, too. All you need is two ripe bananas, three tablespoons of mayonnaise, and one tablespoon of olive oil. Leave the mask on for 30 minutes, then simply rinse it out! Once the mask is out of your hair, shampoo and condition your gorgeous locks as usual.

Olive Oil, Honey, and Rosemary Oil

If your hair needs some shine and hydration this winter, you’ll want to make this mask. Just warm three tablespoons of olive oil on the stove, then whisk in a half cup of honey and four drops of rosemary oil.  This mask should be warm but not hot enough to make you uncomfortable or burn your scalp. Apply the mask to clean, damp hair. Keep it on for 30 minutes, then rinse and shampoo it all out.

Avocado and Mayonnaise

If your hair is in dire need of hydration, this is the mask for you. Mix one well-ripened avocado with one tablespoon of mayonnaise and put the mixture all over your hair. Leave it for 30 minutes before rinsing it out. Once you’re through with the mask, your hair will feel soft and healthy!

These DIY masks will leave your lovely locks feeling soft, healthy, and hydrated all winter long. Pick your favorite mask from this list, and make sure to treat your head once every few weeks. Trust me, your hair will thank you!
