The Two Meals You Should Make If You’re Cooking For Your Man

They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. Cooking up a meal isn’t rocket science.

Cooking up a splendid meal isn’t difficult. First off, imagine what you want to cook. When you have an idea of that delicious meal, you just have to have the right ingredients and tools then you’re good to go. Still don’t have an idea on what to spruce up for dinner? Here are two recipes that are easy to cook that’ll surely make your man happy.

Homemade Steaks and Baby Potatoes

Steaks are yummy and perfect for lunch or dinner. Some guys even eat it for breakfast! Don’t let the word “steak” intimidate you. It’s easy to prepare and serve. You’ll need:

  • ½  tsp of Rosemary, finely chopped
  • ½  tsp of Oregano, finely chopped
  • ½  tsp Thyme, finely chopped
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 16 oz. Ribeye Steak
  • ½ lbs. Baby potatoes
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Place a large skillet over medium heat and brush it a bit of butter. When it’s warm enough, add the potatoes, the unsalted butter, minced garlic, and the other spices. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper. Lightly stir until everything is mixed up. You should cook the potatoes for about 3-4 mins. If you want them to be more tender, lower the heat and cook it for an additional 3 mins.

Set aside the potatoes and put the ribeye steak in the skillet. Crank up the heat to high and cook for about 2-3 mins on each side for a medium rare, or depending on the level of cook you want. If you want it to be more on the medium well, reduce the heat to medium and cook it for an additional 4-5 minutes on each side.

If your steak is good, add back the potatoes into the skillet and let it sit on medium heat for about 30 seconds just to warm it up together with the steak. If there’s some butter and garlic left, you can mix it in and let it melt into the steak. Serve the steak and potatoes on a plate and voila!

Meaty Three Cheese Pizza

What kind of guy doesn’t love pizza? You can make it in the comfort of your own home. Cheese and meat are the best toppings to ever have on top of your pizza. To get you started here’s what you’ll need for the dough:

  • 2 ½ cups of All purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup of water

First, mix the flour, salt, and yeast in a large bowl. Once it’s all mixed, slowly add the water and oil. Sprinkle some flour on a clean surface such as a granite countertop in your kitchen. Next put the dough on top of the floured surface and knead it for about 2-4 minutes.

Place your kneaded pizza dough in a greased bowl and cover it for 20-25 minutes. Covering the bowl enables the dough to rise . Once you’re done, put the dough on medium to large sized pizza pan and pat it outwards to form a large circle.

Pro Tip: If you don’t want to knead the pizza dough alone, you can use premade pizza dough bought from grocery stores. Take note that this is a fun activity to do together with your man. Cuddle up to him and let the both of you “romantically” knead that pizza dough together!

Once you have that dough ready, the hard part is over. Here comes the fun part; putting everything on top of the dough! Here’s a list of ingredients for your meaty three cheese pizza:

  • ½  cup of sweet blend tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp pizza seasoning
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp dried basil
  • ½  cup grated parmesan
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 10-15 pcs. finely sliced of pepperoni
  • ¼ cup bacon bits
  • ¼ cup cooked ground beef
  • ½ cup of ham (sliced into small squares)
  • 1 Italian sausage, cooked and removed from the casing (crumbled)

Now that you’ve got the toppings ready and your dough is fully spread apart, start by lathering the sweet blend tomato sauce on the pizza. After that, sprinkle the grated parmesan to cover the surface. Then put in the ground beef and ham. Next, spread the cheddar all around and sprinkle the basil and pepper.

Sprinkle the bacon bits all around the pizza. Make sure to cover the entire pizza with the remaining mozzarella. Arrange the pepperoni around the pizza, as if your forming a circle with the slices. Lastly, evenly spread the crumbled Italian sausage all over the pizza.

Takeaway

It’s really not that hard to create such sumptuous delicacies in the comfort of your own kitchen. Indeed, the way towards your man’s heart is through his stomach. Make the most out of your kitchen after cleaning your countertops to cook up some magic.
