My love for you is everlasting; it’s vast and flowing like a river. It will never run dry, nor will it fade. My love grows for you each morning, it encompasses me every single night. I feel it in the hairs on my head, and down in the ends of my toes. My love for you will never end. I will never leave.
I will always forgive your indiscretions and see beyond your flaws. Though the darkness and the light, I’ll be there by your side. I am built to endure pain, weather hardship, and fight for all that you deserve. I’ll never grow tired of protecting you, of holding you in my heart.
This is what I mean when I say I’ll never leave.
I accept that things are never easy, and I know that I am no walk in the park. I want to be the best version of myself for you; I want to be all that you deserve and more. I’ll do anything that you ask of me with enthusiasm and maximum speed. Your happiness is all that matters. Your love is my drug of choice.
There will be calm, and there will be chaos. I will be sunshine that showers down on you and storms so strong they bring you to your knees. There will be moments when I forsake you, when unfortunately I become blinded by my own hateful, jealous rage. I will not always make sense, nor will it always be easy for you to stand here by my side.
But, believe me when I say that I will never leave you.
There’s no mountain I wouldn’t climb for you, no ocean I wouldn’t swim. Distance will never break my love for you; being apart will never lessen the way I care. I’d give up anything and go anywhere just to be with you, my dear. I would walk through fire just to see your beautiful face.
If I have to take some time, it’ll always be short in duration. I know how it feels to be abandoned, and it’s not something you should ever see. I may need to share my love and take time to care for others. This doesn’t mean that you’ll be replaced, you’ll always take the gold and be the keeper of my heart.
All this and more is what I really vocalize when I say I’ll never leave.
I’ll apologize when I make mistakes, ask forgiveness when I’ve done you wrong. I will constantly shower you in gifts and signs of admiration, sweet nothings just because. When we disagree, I’ll always work to find a compromise. If I don’t have what you really want, I’ll sacrifice myself to help you have it. Even if you push me away, and say that my love is just too much, I’ll still be here saving a space for you at the table in my heart.
So, please believe me when I say that you are the one and only, my absolute favorite person. No matter what the world throws our way, I forever plan to stay. Time will pass, seasons change, and eventually we will grow older. Yet, the bond between our beating hearts will stay in perfect rhythm, never losing any meter. You’ll be my world always, even when you may not want to be. I love you more than words, more than this pathetic excuse of a letter.
Because, my love, I promise you that I always mean it when I say that I will never leave you.
