After you get your heart broken, can you ever truly love again? That is the real question. We often ask ourselves a lot of questions about life, careers, education, significant others, family, and friends. But, the only questions that truly matter are those of the heart. So I ask again, can you ever truly love again after a broken heart?
Could I ever love again?
That is the real question.
Life isn’t about what to be,
Or what not to be.
For, I do not care anymore,
I used to have dreams,
Ones without another person,
With no extra baggage to carry.
But then I met you,
Things did change,
Not all at once,
But over time.
I was going to give you a gift,
The one I swore to keep protected,
But the one you craved so much.
I was going to leave,
And never look back.
Just to be with you.
Now I am left,
Crying, broken, and sad,
With your dreams,
That became ours.
So I ask again,
Could I ever love again?
That is the real question.
