Dear MTV, You Need To Kick Off Jenelle Evans From ‘Teen Mom 2’

Dear MTV,

You respectfully fired Farrah Abraham for filming and endorsing pornographic films, and for continuously disrespecting and verbally abusing the production crew who worked with her. You fired Jenelle Eason’s husband David for his disturbing and disgusting comments towards the LGBTQ community almost immediately following the incident. I commend you for those strong and effective actions.

But why must you continue to glorify the monster that is Jenelle Eason? I think it’s time you end her contract as well.

I understand that she has/had an interesting story and if it weren’t for her constant battles with everyone under the sun, the ratings may not be as high. I’ve been a fan of the series since the beginning, and I didn’t lie when I said I loved her drama. But, these antics are going too far and there’s been zero accountability on her part or repercussions from your production.

For many years I have seen her neglect her children for drugs and men, a storyline that is unfortunately common for teen mothers. I have seen her battle with her family, the law,her exes, her improvements in obtaining custody of her son, and the downfall she always goes through.

David was a negative influence on her and unfortunately this has changed mine, and the other viewers’ opinion of her. In the past year, there have been so many negative news stories surrounding them that it’s made me disgusted to watch her segments because I’m so done with seeing them try to live a “perfect” life on social media yet create all this drama.

They share different views on many issues America faces; everyone has different opinions and they are entitled to them, but as public figures who are supposed to fill an educational role to today’s youth, they don’t do their role effectively. They display their hateful and hurtful views poorly and in an untimely manner.

Posting pictures in support of guns hours after several people were murdered at a school shooting was inappropriate, and there was seemingly no reaction for her insensitive posts. That was as disgusting as David’s comments towards the LGBTQ community and Jenelle supporting him and making excuses. They’ve since deleted all photos (*cough* evidence *cough*), but that isn’t good enough.

I’m also concerned for her children. It’s none of my, nor the other views, business about what goes on in that home. But from what we see televised for the world to see, there are a lot of alarming issues we’ve witnessed, from the lack of involvement or interaction, the abusive behavior displayed by both parents towards each other and the children (specifically David with Kaiser, as we’ve seen on numerous occasions).

You also chose not to include the fact that the Easons youngest child Ensley was tested positive for marijuana at birth. Why was that not acknowledged? Were you afraid for that to be brought up in court and ruin her chance at getting Jace back? He shouldn’t be allowed in that hell house. No child should be in her custody at this rate.

The biggest problem I have with allowing her to remain on the show is that she is bullying her co-stars and their children on public forums. Sending two co-stars cease and desists is one thing, but doing what you are claiming they are doing is hypocritical. She has gone so far to release public information about Kailyn (her phone number), insulted Chelsea and her family, and Leah and her children, including one who is disabled.

How on earth could you tolerate such disgusting behaviour? Mentioning the looks of a child who has no control over her requirements for an activity is wrong and will induce self esteem issues. Jenelle is not a role model like the other women are. MTV, why are you rewarding her with publicity and a fat pay cheque?

I’ll admit, I love watching your station and all the drama your shows bring to my life. But I simply cannot support viewing a storyline of someone who bullies others, supports hateful causes and is ignorant towards her behaviour.

And I know I’m not alone with my views.
