Why It’s Time That You Stop Blaming The World For Your Problems

Some say with age comes wisdom. Others say with age comes debt, a failing body, reading glasses, a greater love for coupons, early nights, wrinkles, hot tea and a box of Raisin Bran. Who am I kidding, I’m the only one that says that about age. The older that I get, the more I feel that I grasp a better understanding of the world as a whole. With that wisdom comes frustration to the human population, as well as the selfish ways in which a majority of the population lives.

In life, you will encounter people who will stand behind you and support you. Lifting you up and offering you words of encouragement whenever it is needed. People who will genuinely care about your life and the accomplishments that you make in it. Those that don’t harbor ill-will towards you and actually want to see you succeed, even when their life isn’t going in the direction that they thought it would be going in. Those who won’t make your life uncomfortable with uncertainty or resentment. Those who do something for you out of the kindness of their heart and genuinely expect nothing in return. Those who will tell you when you have something in your teeth or when you muffin top doesn’t look good in those pants. Those who you can really call a true friend.

Unfortunately in life, you will also encounter people who would like nothing more than to see you fail. More often than not, you will find people that will try to cut you down and feel less of yourself. They will run with their jealousy and find ways to try to tear you apart without you even knowing it. They will try to make you feel as though you’re the bad guy, no matter what the situation is, and Jedi Mind Trick you into believing that it was your fault all along. That they haven’t and won’t ever do wrong, and that the people are genuinely out to get them. No matter what the case may be, it was always someone else’s doing, someone else’s problem, someone else’s screw up. Those who wear a mask with everyone they meet, not knowing which personality you will ever really get. These are the people who frustrate me the most and the ones we should avoid.

It is beyond irritating to hear people feel as if the world is out to get them, but in reality, they’re the ones who make the bad decisions. They’re the ones who are in the wrong and expect everyone to pick up the pieces. The ones who expect more than they’re willing to give out into the world. The ones who cheat the system and get caught, but end up blaming the person who caught them in the wrong. The ones who create drama hoping to fill a void that they have in their lives and then pretend as if their innocent all along. The ones who tell are “buddy buddy” with you one day and then five minutes later playing “buddy buddy” to someone else, talking behind your back. To those people, I have one large message for you. Grow up.

The world doesn’t pinpoint particular people to chew up and spit out. The world doesn’t decide that it is going to pick on one “innocent” person everyday and you’re that person. Everyone has problems, but I’m sorry to tell you, that you create most of your own. Your mishaps are probably minuscule compared to people who have genuine life issues. Those who aren’t able to read this because they’re living on the streets, or have medical conditions or actually have real problems that take up too much of their time to read something like this and assume that it is about them. The world can be cruel, but it isn’t out to get you and you alone. You have created your problems all on your own.

Lesson to be learned: Grow up. Take responsibility for your actions. Learn from your mistakes and take ownership to them. You’re not perfect. The world isn’t out to get you. Recognize the fact that most of your “problems” have come from situations in which you have personally created. The moment you stop thinking the world is out to get you, you’re going to realize that life is much more simple when you stop creating the drama that is in it. Also, take a multivitamin. Now that your on the path to growing up, you need all the help you can get.
