Within the past two years, Stephen Curry has blown up. Even if you’re not an NBA fan, you will likely know who Steph Curry is. Why? Because on top of being an unreal basketball player, he is a genuinely amazing person (mind you, this is my personal assumption, formed upon stalking him on social media). Any stories surrounding Curry are always positive relating to his family, or the game. No matter who your NBA loyalty lies with, if you even have a team – you will probably love the Curry family.
As a woman, I admire men who are loyal, humble, and classy. In the age of f*ckboys, it is refreshing to see young men who portray all these qualities. When I talk to my male friends of the ideal celebrity guy, he is a person who always comes to mind.
Still not convinced? Here are seven reasons why everyone is bound to love Stephen Curry:
- His passion.
First off, his game is unreal. I am forever a die-hard Knicks fan, but Steph Curry on the court is amazing to watch. Alongside his teammates, Curry took the Golden State Warriors – a team who hadn’t made the NBA finals since 1975 to the championship, and won the 2015 NBA title. There’s a reason why Curry was named NBA’S Most Valuable Player in 2014 – 2015. It is attractive as f*ck to see someone play the game with that much passion. You can see just how much passion he has for the game, for his family, for his fans and to me – that’s sexy.
- His carefree attitude.
If you don’t do yet, please do yourself a favor and follow the Curry family on Instagram (@ayeshacurry & @stephencurry30), and thank me later. Ayesha’s dubsmashes are everything, and you can just tell that they don’t take anything seriously. For me, it is crucial to be with someone who will stand by you in the toughest times, and to have someone with who can make important decisions. A relationship is not going to last long if you aren’t able to have a fun time.
- Ayesha & Steph Curry = #couplegoals
Who doesn’t love a cute love story? The couple met when they were just 14 and 15 years old at a youth group, and got married in 2011. Their constant support of another is too cute. In addition, Ayesha Curry has her own website and a cooking show called “Cooking with the Currys”. I want a relationship where we are both proud to show each other off, and support one another unconditionally and that is exactly what Ayesha and Steph Curry do. You probably get Drake’s “I been Steph Curry with the shot, been cooking with the sauce, Chef curry with the pot, boy.” The Curry version is 100 cuter too:
- His family.
The Curry Family = MVP family. Not only do Steph and his brother Seth play in the NBA but their father, Dell Curry, was also in the NBA. Their sister Sydel is playing collegiate volleyball. Do you know what is super attractive to me? Seeing men play with children and being close to their family. As an only child, and as someone who is super close to my family – I want to date someone who is just as close to their family. I want to have that connection to my significant other’s family. I refuse to be with someone who does not respect or value their family. Curry’s love for his family will make women all around the world go AWEEEEEE.
- His looks.
Let’s be honest, Steph is an attractive young guy. Every time I walk by an Express store and see him with a basketball in a suit, I’m in awe. Plus, the boy can play. Ladies, a man who looks good in a suit and is damn fine on a basketball court? Try to tell me that you wouldn’t have a crush on him.
- His commitment.
Despite making it as a successful NBA player, Curry is committed to completing his degree at Davidson. He entered the draft a year early, and therefore did not graduate as a senior. With that being said, Curry made a promise to his coach and parents that he would return to finish up that degree. While it has been six years since he entered the NBA, Curry is still committed to finishing the degree. Curry states “It’s still a priority for sure; obviously there’s a lot going on right now.” Despite a busy schedule, Curry is committed to not give up and in a relationship, that’s the type of man I’m looking for. A man who refuses to quit because he’s found something better, and a man who finishes things through.
- His love for his children.
Riley and Ryan Curry have to be without a doubt two of the cutest girls ever. You can catch the girls at his games, and at press conferences. Steph never looks annoyed and treats these girls like the world. You can see the love he has for these children, and see that despite a busy schedule, his family comes first. If an NBA player can make time to make goofy videos with his kid, you better have time to come to our kid’s soccer games (assuming that I get married and have a kid who likes soccer). I need a man who I can count on to be there for me, but more importantly – be present in our family’s lives.
Are you convinced yet? Have you fallen in love with Steph yet? I know I have. At the end of the day, what makes it so easy for women to fall in love with Steph Curry is that he is the ideal boyfriend that one wants – loyal, committed, and supportive. One thing is sure – Ayesha Curry is one lucky woman.
