Tis’ the season for oversized sweaters and boots, but, as a fellow lazy girl I find the winter season leaves me sometimes being a bit “basic” with my fashion. We as women, need to be able to toss it up every once in awhile! So here are some ideas of things you can do, to stay comfy, warm, but avoid wearing the same things everyday.
Turtlenecks. When I was younger I hated turtlenecks, now though, there is so much potential for them if you wear them correctly! It’s like a nice warm hug for your neck, plus they make your girls look great!
Sweater dresses. If you need to dress up, but aren’t really feeling like going all out, you can easily wear a sweater dress with or without tights, and a cute pair of boots! Because honestly, pants are overrated.
Overalls. I realize these came back into fashion last summer, but you can make them winter friendly as well. Add a turtleneck, or sweater underneath, and add boots! You may not get a date wearing them but at least you’ll have a comfy, effortless, and an adorable outfit.
Pea coats. I have 3. I live in them in winter, they are warm, comfy, cute, and aren’t skin tight! Throw your hair under a cute winter hat, layer a scarf over your pea coat, literally no one will ever guess that you just woke up. #stayclassy
Vests. They are amazing! You can really pull together an outfit with it and they definitely help keep you warm! Vests are also pretty perfect for those of you who just have a vendetta against sleeves.
Colorful boots. I love boots, investing in waterproof boots is not only smart for those of you in colder climates but completely adorable! Plus, you may actually get off the couch and go outside if you get excited about wearing a pair of colorful boots.
Just because the weather will be cold, doesn’t mean you have to slum down this season! Hopefully, with these ideas, you can help avoid falling into a “routine outfit”, and be in an outfit that still turns heads! Tis’ the season to stand out ladies!
