Ladies, admit it – you’ve all been there. You come home from a long day, and the last thing you want to do is take off your makeup. Your bed is calling your name. I get it, and I’m just as guilty. I mean, what’s the worst that can happen? In a recent interview, Kim Kardashian advocated sleeping with makeup on, so that has to mean it’s okay, right? I know I keep telling myself this because lately, I somehow always end up the next morning with last night’s makeup on. Here are my top dumb excuses to make myself feel better about leaving my makeup on while I sleep.
1. “The bathroom is too far.”
Look, my bedroom is on the second floor and my bathroom is on the first. When I calculate the distance from my room to the sink, I figure one night is okay.
2. “You’re not wearing THAT much make up.”
I am way too guilty of saying this to myself when I look in the mirror before going to sleep. I mean, what’s a bit of eye makeup and foundation going to really do to damage my skin?
3. “I’ve had such a long day, I can’t even handle taking off makeup right now.”
Between school, work, volunteering, and attempting a social life – long days are a daily reoccurrence in my life. When I’m tired, I can justify anything as long as I can crawl into my bed.
4. “Can he handle it?”
I can barely handle seeing myself after a rough night, letting that be a guy’s first sight in the morning seems cruel … especially if we’ve only been together for a month.
5. “I’m drunk”
This is a weekly occurrence, and is self-explanatory. The last thing I’m thinking about after a night out is my makeup, I’m just celebrating the fact that I’m home.
