The 5 Best Lipsticks For Winter

Fall and winter are very similar seasons for many reasons; the cold weather, the incredible fashion and the comfort of our surroundings despite the cold. It also means that chapped lips season is upon us. And unfortunately for many women, we have a hard time finding lip-wear that doesn’t make our lips look bad despite having pieces of skin falling off in every direction.

Yes, we can find lip products to wear that will help our lips feel and look better, but you end up paying an arm and a leg for the product. And because of all the holiday hustle, we spend a lot of money on other people so we can’t always treat ourselves.

Here are the best lip products to take you from fall to winter that will make your lips look as lovely as ever, all for a low price:

NYC Lipstick – $1.49

NYC is a classic for quick finds when it comes to lip products. My favorite lipstick from them would have to be 316 Blossom! It’s a bright pink, but it’s incredibly light, so it adds the right amount of color without looking like it’s caked on your lips. The only downfall is that you do need to reapply several times a day.

Wet and Wild Matte Lipstick – $3.49

Wet and Wild is an underrated and extremely affordable brand and for lip products. I turn to them a lot when it comes to cheap finds. My favorite shade of them is 906D Wine Room, it’s a perfect shade of red that isn’t too dark or too bright, and it lasts forever. I also suggest 907C Mauve Outta Here for a rose-tone nude lip lover. Plus it doesn’t feel heavy and hard on your lips like some matte products do. The low price does not mean it’s a cheap quality. You can get this at Walmart and other retailers, so it’s super accessible!

Elf Liquid Matte Lipstick – $5.00

Elf is a hidden gem in the beauty industry. You can find their products at stores like Old Navy or online. Their liquid lipstick is a fantastic product. My only complaint is that they sell so fast in stores, so you have to rely on ordering online. Otherwise, this product is golden!

NYX Lingerie Matte Lipstick – $10.99

This one is a little more expensive than my other choices for this list but its longevity throughout the day is what makes it worth the price. It’s hard to get off (which is excellent for all day wear), and the shades are endless. I prefer to use LIPLI 02 because it’s a bit darker and has a smooth application process that feels good on your lips.

Bodyography Lip Lava Liquid Lipstick – $19

Although this is a significant price increase from others on this list, the price is worth the product! 9604 Basic is my go-to shade for a nude and natural look. It applies smoothly, the longevity throughout the day is excellent, and it feels like you have nothing on your lips. And even though it’s matte, it hides the lines from your chapped lips perfectly. This is one of my fave lip products! You can find their products online only, but don’t get too distracted by their other fab products when you’re on the hunt for a good lipstick!

Don’t let the cold weather be a reason to avoid wearing something you love, especially if you fear it accentuating a part of your body that may be a little damaged for a while. But let’s be real, it happens to everyone this time of year. You don’t avoid wearing clothes if you have a rash as a result of the painfully dry skin you get during cold months, do you? You put more on to cover it up!
