12 Lizzie McGuire Outfits You Wish You Owned

Let’s face it, Lizzie McGuire was the bomb. Although she wasn’t the most popular girl at school, she definitely had it together. I’m not going to lie, I miss watching Lizzie McGuire and the Lizzie McGuire Movie. Even though the show has long ended and we have all grown up, there are still some Maguire favorites we wish we owned at the time (or maybe even now). From her awesome hairstyles to her desirable clothing choices, we wanted to be Lizzie. Therefore, here are 12 Lizzie outfits we wish we had:

Who didn’t enjoy this classic plaid pants, simple blue T-shirt, conductor train hat combo? It is so simple, yet looks so cool. Dang Lizzie, you always got it going on.

Look at this hippie princess rocking a choker! This combo with the braids and headband just completely tied the outfit together, and I wanted this look.

I love that overalls are a thing again because now we can look like Lizzie! By pairing her overalls with a plain t-shirt, she easily killed this look, and now many people are doing the same today. Lizzie was just ahead of our time, but late to our parents’ time.

Not a lot of people can pull off the color yellow, but Lizzie did it well. By pairing this shimmery yellow tank with a black and white patterned skirt, McGuire created a killer outfit. This was one that I wanted to be able to pull off too.

Remember when Lizzie went through her short punk phase? Don’t tell me when you were a pre-teen/young teenage girl that you didn’t have a punk phase. Most of us go through it at least once, and Lizzie killed it. Every punk outfit she had, I wanted too, especially when I was in my own punk phase.

Who wore a striped pattern shirt with a different striped pattern pant and still made it look good? Lizzie McGuire did! And again, this cute business outfit is one I always wished I had.

Remember when Paolo took Lizzie to the romantic garden with fountains in Italy? Me too. I also especially remember that cute outfit she was wearing when they went on that date. This long blouse paired with leggings and heels is something I would still wear today as an adult. She looked so grown up here!

Here is another outfit from the Lizzie McGuire Movie, but Lizzie had so many cute outfits in that movie so I can’t help it! I loved this pink top with matching knee-high pink socks. Again, this is something I would so wear as a 22-year-old.

Can we just take a minute to talk about this tight red top with McGuire flashing a little bit of belly? I may not have been able to get away with wearing something like that as a pre-teen girl, but I definitely would be allowed to wear it now, and believe me, I would.

One of my all-time favorite Lizzie McGuire outfits was when Paolo and Lizzie walked the red carpet before they went up on stage to perform. Although I would probably do without the fingerless glove myself, I love this top paired with a simple light-blue jean.

One of my favorite episodes was the one when Jesse Mccartney featured with “I Want Candy.” I mean, Jesse was cute enough to be every pre-teen girl’s crush from my generation! However, Lizzie’s outfit during the music video was also adorable. She paired a classy Christmas sweater with shiny silver pants. Rockin’ it Lizzie!

Last, and certainly not least, let us not forget the silver and shiny green dresses that Lizzie and “Isabella” got to wear for the performance in the Lizzie McGuire Movie. Although I personally prefer Isabella’s green outfit over Lizzie (many people would probably disagree with me), both outfits are still desirable. You know you wish you had this dress that could rip off into pants!

Lizzie definitely had some interesting outfits throughout the series, but these are just a few of my favorites. Although her fashion sense was different, she always killed every outfit she wore. However, Lizzie was more than her outfits. Lizzie was a role-model for young girls and the show taught us valuable lessons while setting new fashion trends. Good job, McGuire, not only were you a trendsetter, but you were also a role-model for my generation of pre-teens.
