Why No Relationship Compares To Your Long Lasting Friendships

Dearest Best Friend,

Thank you for being so much more than just my childhood best friend. Throughout the past 10 years, you have been my therapist, personal comedian, chef, stylist, soulmate, and so much more.

Thank you for being the first person I went to the park with and for going through that awkward middle school stage with me. I love how we went from Bratz or Powerpuff Girl-themed parties to classy dinner outings to celebrate our birthdays. Although we have had our differences, I am so grateful that we always found our way back to each other. I know that regardless of which direction our lives go, you are only a phone call away.

Thank you for branching out and going on our first parent-free trip together. I still laugh about how directionally challenged we were and question how we ever navigated through unfamiliar places together. You have helped me travel through life thus far just by knowing I have a partner in crime whenever one is needed.

Thank you for always making time to catch up over coffee when we are finally in the same city at the same time and for being such an easy conversationalist. You have definitely seen me at my worst, but still, remind me of my best self. You have been my best friend for so long that I don’t ever see us parting ways. Your unconditional support and love have helped me more than you will ever come to know.

I know I made a good choice in company when even my parents like you.

In fact, they refer to you as their own daughter, so in a sense, I suppose you are the sister I never officially had. Thank you for keeping in touch and for being the reliable, compassionate, loyal friend that I hope everyone has the honor to experience in their own lives.

I cannot wait to give my Maid of Honour speech and have a slideshow of our toddler days, peace sign and side bangs pictures, and amazing selfies that we have now played in the background. I hope you know how much I value our friendship and how thankful I am that you came into my life.

I love you with all of my heart and am looking forward to what the next few decades have in store for us.

Love always,
Your Bestest Friend

  1. Yes yes yes! Please figure out that men don’t want you anymore. And by all means get some good girlfriends so you can yap all day to them about your meaningless female bullshit. We don’t to hear it, we don’t want you constantly calling and texting, and we don’t want you around.
