The 2000s seem like a whole different world compared to today’s society. The fashion was different, the TV shows were different, and we were pretty much carefree (since most of us were still in high school and middle school). Now, we are constantly stressed trying to be the adults that change the world. Every once in a while it’s good to look back on the past and feel the nostalgia of the good ole days.

To help with that, here are 15 songs to bring you back to the 2000s.

“Complicated” – Avril Lavigne (2002)

“Bye Bye Bye” – *NSYNC (2000)

“Hey Ya” – OutKast (2003)

“Hamster Dance” – Hampton and the Hamsters (2000)

“I Write Sins, Not Tragedies” – Panic! At The Disco (2005)

“Get Ur Freak On” – Missy Elliott (2001)

“The Real Slime Shady” – Eminem (2000)

“Toxic” – Britney Spears (2003)

“Pon de Replay” – Rihanna (2005)

“American Idiot” – Green Day (2004)

“I Kissed A Girl” – Katy Perry (2008)

“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” – Beyoncé (2008)

“Disturbia” – Rihanna (2007)

“Telephone” – Lady Gaga (Feat. Beyoncé) (2009)

“Bad Romance” – Lady Gaga (2009)

It is crazy how much music has changed. In the 2000’s, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Katy Perry ran the music scene. Now the music industry is run by The Chainsmokers, Taylor Swift, and Twenty-One Pilots. It’s always good to have a throwback session every once in a while and let’s be honest… Lady Gaga’s super bowl performance put me in a major throwback mood. Hopefully, this playlist brings nothing but happiness to your #throwbackthursday.
