Bae Status: Why You Can’t Imagine Your Life Without Coffee

I’ll never forget the first glance, the first whiff of that delicious smell, the first taste. I’ll never forget that amazing feeling when I held that warmth so close to my body. That feeling of energy that spread through my veins as I held that amazing cup of coffee so close to my chest. I knew, after that first sip, that coffee was the only thing I would ever need. I mean, with something like coffee in my life, how could I possibly need anything else?

Coffee is a constant in my life. I know that if I ever need it, coffee won’t have another obligation or something better to do. Coffee is always there for me – in the mornings, the nights, the afternoons, whenever. Coffee and I might be in a relationship. It loves me unconditionally. I don’t know who, or where, I would be without it.

Secondly, I don’t think I’d have very many friends because, without coffee, I’d be a grumpy person all the time. People wouldn’t want to talk to me because I would hardly be able to function. Coffee gets me through each day. It lets me be cranky without getting upset about it, and helps me feel better. Coffee knows that it helps me, so it never lets me down.

Also, coffee is beautiful. I don’t care how you take your coffee – black, or two creams and one sugar, or five sugars and one cream, whatever – it’s all beautiful. Inside and out, coffee has such wonderful depth, beauty, and character. Just look at this latte art! Look at it.

Lastly, coffee is loyal to me. It never lets me down. Even when I have a bad cup of coffee, it’s never bad enough for me to give up on it. Coffee wouldn’t give up on me, so I won’t give up on it. And if anyone tries to take my coffee from me… Well, let’s just say I’m an extremely possessive person and I won’t share my coffee. With anyone. #sorrynotsorry

Look, I’m not saying coffee is the only thing I’ll ever need. Because that’d be a lie. I mean, obviously I need breakfast, lunch, and dinner to go with it.

But coffee is pretty great. It tastes amazing, it looks beautiful, and it helps me stay awake through all those long, boring classes. Coffee and I, we’re a team. I love it, and it loves me (I hope).

If you ever want to join me for a cup of coffee – but you’ll have to have your own cup, obviously – let me know. We would certainly welcome you to our little group.
