4 Fall Fashion Trends You Need To Jump On Now

Whether we like it or not the fall is coming. Here come the days of classes and waking up early. On those days we all just want to leave our PJ’s on and walk out the door. As a fashion addict, I hate going to class not looking at least semi put together. I also find that when I dress in something other than sweats, I feel so much more productive. So for the days where we can’t just wear our pajamas (or just want to impress that cute guy) here are the best trends for fall!

1. High Necklines

For the fall, the Victorian era is a new trend. This means high necklines, lace and frills. You might be thinking, “Why the hell would you want to dress like you’re from that era?” Well when done the right way this trend can look super cool. Just because high necklines are the new trend, doesn’t mean you have to suffocate yourself with a turtle neck sweater. I love how some tops and dresses now have a high neck and low back or a high neckline and no sleeves. It all just depends on how you wear it. Polyvore.com is a great place to start looking! It will show you dozens of high neckline shirts from every brand you could ever imagine.

2. Over the Knee Boots

One of my favorite trends for the upcoming season is over the knee boots. And when I say over the knee I mean way over the knee. I love this sexy looking trend because I can wear my favorite skirt and some boots on a night out on the town and not get cold! What more could I ask for?! Check out publicdesire.com to find some super cute and reasonable priced lace-up boots. I want to buy all of the over the knee boots they have! A good alternative to wearing OTK boots (and much cheaper) is to throw on some over the knee socks instead! I love wearing mine with some little black booties.

 3. High- waisted Bottoms

It’s no secret that high- waisted skirts and pants have been the thing for a while now. If you loved the high-waisted shorts trend over summer there’s no need to be sad the warm season is over! Maybe for the fall try some distressed, high- waisted black skinny jeans! Pairing your high-waisted jeans with a white v-neck tee make you feel like you’re wearing yoga pants except you don’t look like you just rolled out of bed. My favorite places to look for high-waisted pants are American Apparel, Urban Outfitters and American Eagle.

4. Flowy Silhouettes

Good-bye body con hello comfy clothes! Remember when body con dress and skirts were all the rage a few years back? Well this summer my Instagram, tumblr, and Pinterest were chock full of flowy midi skirts, ethereal maxi skirts and bohemian dresses. Personally I love this trend because body con pieces get uncomfortable sometimes. Plus you had to wear a thong most of the time which, let’s be honest, most days aren’t my favorite.

This upcoming fall season is all about the boxy silhouettes and high cut everything! I’m so excited to do some back to school shopping and invest in some of these trends myself! Prepare to have the most comfortable but trendy fashion season of your life.
